Bidenomics spurred stronger GDP growth: Morgan Stanley (cnbc.com)

I think it's now clear to everyone that Joe Biden is an unstoppable force for goodness.

WASHINGTON — Morgan Stanley is crediting President Joe Biden’s economic policies with driving an unexpected surge in the U.S. economy that is so significant that the bank was forced to make a “sizable upward revision” to its estimates for U.S. gross domestic product.

Biden’s Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act is “driving a boom in large-scale infrastructure,” wrote Ellen Zentner, chief U.S. economist for Morgan Stanley, in a research note released Thursday. In addition to infrastructure, “manufacturing construction has shown broad strength,” she wrote.

As a result of these unexpected swells, Morgan Stanley now projects 1.9% GDP growth for the first half of this year. That’s nearly four times higher than the bank’s previous forecast of 0.5%.

“The economy in the first half of the year is growing much stronger than we had anticipated, putting a more comfortable cushion under our long-held soft landing view,” Zentner wrote.

I voted for Sloppy because of the horror of the alternative. No hate or anything, he was just another milquetoast non-maniac, as it is these days. But he’s the type of inspiration that in the past made me write my dog in and vote for road-kill like the Libertarian to “make a point” (super-effective!!)

But he has pretty much hammered this nail.

I will of course have to vote for him again no matter what since it’s the same menace that is the alternative, AGAIN, but this time I’ll have something approaching less-than-fatalism.

Assuming the amp doesn’t blow and he stops dancing.

    https://thehill.com/business/4045941-how-bidens-big-investments-spurred-a-factory-boom/

Annual spending on manufacturing construction held somewhat steady during the 2010s, generally keeping within the range of $50 billion to $80 billion, according to U.S. Census Bureau data. Levels were lower and the range of spending tighter in the decade before.

But following the passage of three large-scale economic packages loaded with tax incentives and direct funding for industrial projects and operations, investment in manufacturing construction shot up to $189 billion in April
on a seasonally adjusted basis, more than doubling pre-pandemic levels.

Biden's policies have supercharged American manufacturing.

Oh how the Trumpers hate to see America succeed.

LMFAO! People forget... Unemployment in the U.S.A. under Trump blows away anything these diaper wearing Biden has done. The interest rates were lower... Inflation was much lower... jobs were more plentiful... wage earners saw their wages rise faster than any other income demographic.

Trump was making peace deals in the White House with Israel and many middle Eastern nations... we were at peace and were actually exporting oil... Crime was down... we had control of our borders... we were respected around the world... Biden is NOT respected by any world leader, don't lie to yourselves, and don't lie to me.

We know the truth and these fake unemployment numbers that the Leftists are pimping out... the war we're paying for... the Dems are letting Chinese CCP members buy us our farm land... the Chinese are buying land near our military bases. Our military is in shambles... the leadership is an experiment based on sexual orientation considerations, and not qualifications.

The entire Biden administration is one big sieve of misinformation... fraught with lies, spies and cronyism. The radicalization of our alphabet agencies are busy terrorizing the parents of kids in school... pushing sexualization as a bonafide alternative curriculum, which is is NOT.

The Biden administration forced people to take the deadly EXPERIMENTAL COVID JAB or face losing the right to travel... all forms or travel. Biden forced military personnel to take the deadly JAB or get kicked out of the military...

Biden lied about everything related to Covid-19... the plandemic. Biden forced doctors that dissented from the COVID narrative to be cut off from any privately owned social platform. Yeah, they aren't interfering with these social media companies... BS!

Our economy is not fine, we are not doing well, and this man in the WH is the least qualified person to ever occupy the Oval Office.

Because there is a sense in which downturns are self-fulfilling prophecies, I suppose if we pretend our economy is robust …

    Another 100% wrong post.

    Unemployment is at historic lows
    Manufacturing is at historic highs
Deficit coming down from Trump exploding it
    Inflation coming down from pandemic
Interest rates are high to attempt to cool off the volcanic economy
The USA is respected around the world again
No more Russian spies yukking it up in the Oval Office
    Pandemic ended not ignored
No more millions flowing into the Kushners bank accounts for quid pro quo

Literally nothing is worse than it was under Trump

Biden is making the Gainesville PD grow? I may have to vote for Trump for the good of our football team.

    Yeah…. Trump left Unemployment at 6.3% … Biden hit 3.4%, a 50+ year low, in early 2023.

I’ve always been curious how some can experience the world around them, i.e., reality, in a way entirely differently than the rest of us. Sometime, the lone wolves are correct, but most of the time they aren’t. Gatorrick is a case in point, IMO.

No. Imo kudos on the economy shouldn’t be given without consideration of the annual deficit. In May the CBO estimated we’ll have a $1.5T deficit this year. That’s 20+% of our annual fed budget. Just about any biz model will work adding that much long term debt each year to cover short term costs. It’s not just Biden, we ran a $1T/yr deficit under Dear Leader, pre pandemic.

….and this is not even getting into our personal debt and lack of saving per individual as a country. Or municipal/state debt.

I suppose we can pretend we live under a strong economy. But when I was a kid, my dad sold encyclopedias, mom stayed home … and somehow we could afford a 3/2 house, near the beach, a car, food for five kids and took vacations to boot and had nice things.

Nowadays, parents complain about Drag Queen Story Hour, but are horrified when you suggest homeschooling because both parents have to work to support their one or two kids.

No, that didn’t start with Biden.

This is where IMO we need to increase revenues, and specifically on billionaires or corporations that pay little by comparison to most Americans. I would prefer that than to cutting funding for healthcare, infrastructure, education and environment as those are the drivers for future innovation, growth and prosperity. The demonization of the IRS seems so contrived and aimed at protecting a few at the expense of the future.

You realistically can’t increase taxes on millionaires enough to cover our deficits and future entitlement needs. Not even close.

So this is the company laundering the Biden money? Gotcha... it would not surprise me to find that to be true. You never know how much hubris these people running some of these corporations can live with.

Is that what Q told you to say, or are you just making stuff up on your own, now?

    (The "now" seems unnecessary, actually)
