    CNN —
At least 93 Palestinians have been killed in an Israeli strike on a school and mosque in Gaza sheltering displaced people, according to local officials, sparking international outrage.

“We recovered at least 90 people who had been killed,” Gaza Civil Defense Spokesperson Mahmoud Basal told CNN, adding that “many of them are torn apart, many are still unidentified.”

“All of these people who were targeted were civilians, unarmed children, the elderly, men and women,” said Fares Afana, director of ambulance and emergency in northern Gaza.
“These were innocent people praying… where is the entire world?” said one man, who lost his daughter, son-in-law, and grandchildren in the strike.

This is the last straw for me. I thought I would vote for Harris, but I won't vote for any administration that supports with military aid the Netanyahu government's deliberate slaughtering of Palestinian civilians. I resent my taxpayer dollars being spent to kill women and children in Gaza, which BTW is creating more terrorists for the future.

I don't even want to think about anything that POS would do back in the White House. I certainly won't vote for him. I simply won't vote. I'll sit this one out with a completely clear conscience.

This seems excessive. Hard to justify this, no matter what the target may have been.

"This," meaning one slaughter? It's serial slaughter that's going on in Gaza. And I recall Biden some time ago telling Netanyahu he needs to be more careful. Yeah, that put a stop to it. Praise the Lord and pass the ammunition!

Per the OP: "...according to local officials."

You don't say? - the group that vows to wipe Israel off the earth, the group that blamed Israel for a hospital bombing that was their own bomb gone awry, the group that hides behind, around, under women and children that group has NO credibility with me.

No, I'm not hopeful nor wanting children to die; but, Hamas is. Watch two months from now, there will be leaks on how the bomb exploded inside the school and 50 of the "90 dead" were placed there, dead already, to make the carnage appear worse. Again, these folks claim it's raining - I'm putting SPF 50 on.

I guess you haven't heard the non-Palestinian doctors in Gaza who have described the civilian horrors they have seen. It's all Hamas lies.

Over time I’ve started taking a darker view on this issue. I don’t think there is any peace available as long as Hamas exists, as well as a decent number of Gazans who support them and their tactics. Partly lying behind that is radical Islam. So my gut feel is Gazans have to suffer badly before there is any chance at peace. I don’t want to feel that way, but I haven’t seen any evidence to convince me otherwise.

military targets are one thing, taking out civilians is not a good look. Especially when you consider the history. I truly hope that Netanyahu is not of the mindset that the palestinians need to be eradicated entirely.

So you think Hamas will go out of existence? That's the rationale of the extremist Netanyahu government for these slaughters, they are going to destroy or eliminate Hamas. I'm sure you've heard the expression "mission impossible." But I guess it's the thought that counts as they go on slaughtering.

They may not go out of existence but they can be beaten back to the point of being much less of a threat. We did the same with ISIS. We didn’t eliminate ISIS but we decimated them to the point that they are no longer a military force, only a propaganda spreading group that radicalizes young men in the west.

Perhaps if Gazans start to realize that harboring Hamas and their likes will lead to their ruin, maybe they think twice about doing it.

When we went into to ISIS strongholds we didn’t hold back, and we also didn’t say anything when the Iranian militias lead by Suleman(later assassinated by Trump) ravaged the ISIS communities in parallel with us.

I’m not a fan of Netanyahu or his motives but it’s hard for me to criticize either one believes Israel has the right to exist or you don’t. There is no coexisting with radical Islamists.

Yeah, I can see a group of Gazan citizens going to Hamas and telling it to get out of Gaza. Or maybe they can vote Hamas out of office? Just like the Venezuelans got rid of Maduro.

Yes, Israel has a right to exist. But apparently innocent women and children in Gaza don't.

And how many of the people being slaughtered in Gaza are radical Islamists? All of the children?

The typical Gazan civilian doesn’t have any bearing on what Hamas does and just wants to live in peace with food and shelter. They are caught in the crossfire. They are not the ones to hold accountable here.

Palestinian poll shows a rise in Hamas support and close to 90% wanting US-backed Abbas to resign.

    post Oct 7th
Despite the devastation, 57% of respondents in Gaza and 82% in the West Bank believe Hamas was correct in launching the October attack, the poll indicated. A large majority believed Hamas’ claims that it acted to defend a major Islamic shrine in Jerusalem against Jewish extremists and win the release of Palestinian prisoners. Only 10% said they believed Hamas has committed war crimes, with a large majority saying they did not see videos showing the militants committing atrocities.

    Pre Oct 7th:
    Gazans’ Pre-War Views of Hamas

When asked how much they trusted Hamas authorities, 44% of Gazans said they had no trust at all, and 23% had “not a lot of trust.” Only 29% expressed either a great deal or quite a lot of trust in their government.

    Pre Oct 7th:
Survey offers a window into Palestinians’ views ahead of the Hamas attack

According to the latest survey, a majority of Palestinians (51%) supported a two-state solution based on the 1967 borders, with slightly more support seen among residents of Gaza than among West Bank Palestinians. A quarter of respondents also said they supported “armed resistance” as a preferred solution to Palestinian-Israeli conflict.

So the zero sum game of an endless death spiral where either the palestinians are exterminated or where Israel is erased. Take your pick. There has to be a better way.
