first he refuses to step aside in time for the american people to select a candidate in an open primary, then he endorses a losing candidate to be the second woman chosen by the party to lose to the worst potus in a century, and now he throws the florida dem party under the bus on his way out the door and didn't even consult any from the dem party from Florida in the process.

can someone explain the upside of this to me? will djt leave it in place? if it was important, why wait until the alst second other than an fu to the dem party to help salt the earth in Florida

how does the cuban population feel about this

US to remove Cuba from state sponsors of terrorism list

I see no logical reason for him to do this. It obviously will not help the D's in Florida. Does it help the D's nationally? I don't think so, but he did it so there must be a reason.

We have two choices, tell the Cuban people to deal with it themselves and try to overthrow their government or maybe try to change their leadership slowly. Of course they hate their government but right now they have weekly power outages and rationed food. They will take whatever they can get at this point.

I don’t see the point in designating them sponsors of terrorism. I believe we’re the only country in the world to do so.

Obvious question: Does Cuba sponsor terrorism?

Biden has done everything in his power to flip off his party and Trump, at the same time. He’s acting like an angry, old man.

Tells you pretty much it's a prisoner release. In a week, Trump will put them back on the list. In a month, will anyone even remember this happened?

The US will remove Cuba from its list of state sponsors of terrorism, Joe Biden has said in one of his final official acts as president.

In return, Cuba announced it would release 553 prisoners.

The deal, which was brokered by the Catholic Church, comes just days before President-elect Donald Trump is due to be sworn in.

Its stupid they were on there in the first place. Its sort of ironic because one of the biggest terrorist acts against Cuba was conducted by anti-communist militants that had been CIA assets. If they had a list the US would be on it lol.

Arrest of Cuban ex-CIA figure puts Bush in tough political spot

60 years of sanctions has made zero difference and that bay of pigs fiasco was a disaster. Cuba will go back on that list in about four days.

Biden had no business removing them, knowing this. It was an act of sabotage for Trump’s administration. Like it or not, America voted for Trump and his policies, not Biden’s. And Biden middle-fingered America on his way out the door.

This is why liberals are such weenies. Trump is a threat to democracy but sabotaging him is bad. Pick a lane! You are allowed to use power while you still have it, that's how things work! Trump is walking in a lame duck, I dont think hes going to operate that way!

We live in a society where, in theory, the people choose by majority how they wish to be governed. The winning vote has spoken, and in this election, loudly. Trump’s policies were chosen by the electorate. Sabotaging his policies because Biden disagrees with them is a contumacious disregard to that electorate.

Again, while you are in power you can still use it. You could argue that being a lame duck, Trump shouldnt do anything and should wait till the next election to set big policy, because it can be reversed in just a few years time. They arent going to do that. Why should Biden? Calling it sabotage is anti-democratic and also ridiculous. What does Biden owe Trump other than leaving when he is supposed to? There's nothing illegitimate about it. Biden is president until he isnt, you are saying people should just bend the knee prematurely for no reason other than some shit you made up, which is why libs are the biggest weenies around.

Because it is wrong. It does not become right because it was done in the past.

It looks like Trump put Cuba on the list in January 2021 as he was headed out the door

I'm not for overthrowing governments, but Cuba is the one country that would thrive if given the chance. Cuban Americans would flock back to their homeland to build it back and help become our next state.
