If Biden had organized a debate with Trump earlier in the year, the democrats would have had much more time to react. Maybe they will remember this the next time they have an aging president looking for a second term.

I have no issue with this statement. But frankly, Trump shouldn't have been the republican nominee either. I'm not upset that an R won the election. I'm upset that so many in this country think Trump is the best option to be the R. There are so many things in his history that should disqualify him from being a primary winner. From where I'm sitting (former R, NPA since Jan 6th), it feels very cult like. Take back your party, Republicans. Let's have actual adults in the room the next time important decisions have to be made.

Top democrats are blaming Biden, according to CNN.

Another article blames the loss on the unwillingness of Americans to believe or trust mainstream media, and their willingness to trust fly-by-night stories coming out of the ether (see: propaganda, Russian).

The U.S. may have to re-think its education system. Far too many people are unqualified to choose their own sources for factual information. The Idiocracy is here.

Thinking there are only two candidates in your party that can't beat Trump reveals that you still don't understand why you lost. You conveniently forgot a 3rd candidate Trump dispatched, Hillary. In fact, he has dispatched all 3 candidates the Dems have put up against him, but you assume the rest of them would have beaten Trump last night? It's fun to watch you all struggle to come to grips with your problems.

Harris didn't need the Southern states, she needed PA and to move the needle slightly in MI and WI. Shapiro would have really helped there.

I'm not a Democrat and Hillary wasn't running this year.

Shapiro would not have won this race for her. He may have made it a little closer in PA, at best.

I don't know what you people are whining about with the "Come on man" ratings. I'm just quoting Trump.

You're not allowed to use Trump's own words against him. They get mad when you do that.

TBH I had forgotten when Trump talked about being president for life. I had to look it up, that was a while ago.

Hillary is the only one that had a severe "trust" problem with the American people. She did not tell lies and repeat them until everyone believed them, like Trump does.

I've got news for you, son. Trump is also YOUR problem. When you see what he does with the economy, with foreign policy, and so many other things, I believe you will come to regret believing his lies before his four years are up. For your sake, I hope you are independently wealthy, because those are the ones who will survive a second Trump term. Everyone else will be paying all kinds of tariffs on their consumer products. Stock up before January 21st.

No way to know for sure, but I have no reason to think that anybody on the Dem bench would have beaten Trump or changed the results in the Senate this year.

Why would Shapiro have helped in those states more than Walz? Minnesota is next door to Wisconsin, and has a similar state/regional character and problems and a lot in common with Michigan outside of Detroit, while Pennsylvania is next door to New York, Maryland, and Ohio. Ya know?

Look up how many elections in a row Minnesota has gone blue.

Now look up how many elections in a row Pennsylvania has gone blue.

    This will be your answer.

Of course. Pennsylvania has traditionally been a swing state. No surprise there. But winning PA does not guarantee also winning other states that Harris needed to win the election. People in Michigan and Wisconsin are not waiting to see how people in Pittsburgh and Philadelphia are voting before they cast their votes.

This is what the democrats want the new America to be.
Pick candidates based how they look instead how they think and perform.
    Kamala is DEI.
The libbies sunk themselves and it was glorious.

Shapiro is a popular governor in a swing state that could broaden her appeal in the other swing states she needed like PA, MI, WI and or AZ. Bottom line she picked an idiot choice because she is an idiot candidate.
