I never expect much from these but

Not a fan of his response to ST. It’s not just one in game mistake. There have been multiple since last year. Following that up by saying they learn from mistakes doesn’t give weight. However he’s not gonna throw the Game Changer under the bus.

I agree on his statement that it’s not always the offense line that fails in protection. I did see a few whiffs from RBs and WRs.

I saw our big TE Jonathan Odom crumple on a couple of blocking assignments.

“Continue to improve” gives me Ron Zook “correctable” vibes coming from Billy. You can say it all day long, but we need to see it. It’s also a broken record at this point as it is said in every press conference to the point of just being hyperbole.

His ST excuses had me climbing the walls. It wasn't just one thing. It was multiple things, not to mention 8 guys on the field for a FG defense.... Come on.

Unfortunately, I think TE is our weakest position and it's not really close. I also don't think that is a shock to anyone.

BN is starting to wear on me and I am very patient as a fan. Just say it the way it is. For i.e., it's inexcusable that our coaches and me allowed that to happen. He is not reading the pulse of the fan base well. Urban Meyer changed his offense during the bye week before UGA in his first year!! Meyer got it and could not stomach losing or looking like garbage. BN is starting to worry me. This is my first post where I have been negative. At the same time, Napier has coached at Bama and certainly knows the expectations here at Florida. Don't allow Florida to be embarrassed on the football field. If I am over reacting forgive me.

After we wax mcneese, the true test will be Tennessee. Do we show up or do they embarrass us in our own house?
Any kind of w over them is huge right now. Go Gators!

The team was not ready to play Utah. But they did not quit they kept fighting! That is what I like to see. The fight is important in many ways. The team did not give up because the score board was against us. They kept fighting for each other! They did not mail that game in they kept fighting! Those players believe in each other! Go Gators!

I saw the same thing, he was a step slow against their athletic end. Not a great sign, I was hoping he would provide some needed blocking on the edge.

Some of our guys really struggle on a big pull. I’m sure the coaches know the limits of their mobility….

  13. I liked every response from Napier except his “one thing” response to the question(s) about special teams. That one thing had better be a glowingly obvious sign this week that the game changers are changing the game positively for the Gators.

Losing has a way of making everything the coach says seem incredibly irritating. No one was more grating on the nerves than McElwain. But If he had gone 15-0 with a national championship, "ain't it cool?" would be etched in granite on the side of the stadium.

I don't like the idea of staying "on schedule." Put the ball in the end zone.

I too noted that and that was positive. My concern is if towards the end of the year and we are 4 - 6 or 3-7 will they still have the same fight? I hope it doesn't come to that.

My take on the PC as I watched and it just seemed to me he said basically the same things after each loss last year. He talked about overcoming adversity. He talked about needing to improve and get things fixed. He talked about the process and motivation. Maybe that's what coaches do just repeat, I remember Zook, its correctable...
I too was miffed where he basically blew off ST situations and gave it a pass. To the question that the O hasn't done much in the last 3 games, he just said we moved the ball well. (I think the name of the game is scoring). As to 1-13 conversions he said too many yards to make and too often (Isn't that coaching or calling the right plays?) I know some of this is player error but that's what spring and fall practice is for. Overall, to me he just seems overly tolerant and almost emotionless. College game is about emotion and inspiring your players to do their best.
I think he really is trying to do his best but it still comes down to wins and losses.
