They do have a new campaign ad out with clips from several rally speeches where he slurs words badly.

I tend to think it’s less that Trump doesn’t know but that he’s relying on the general public not knowing. It sounds good to the average person to say we’re making China or others pay and protecting domestic industry. Remember, this is the same guy that claimed Mexico would pay for the wall on our southern border and people believed him.

    I could buy that.
It's either intentionally misleading (not good) or a lack of knowledge (also, not good) or he genuinely believes it (even worse).
All 3 of them would disqualify him from getting my vote.

Time to put on Ave Maria and dance again?

Keep in mind that's probably not dementia. He simply doesn't appear to know how it works. I mean, maybe he does know and he's just counting on his audience really thinking that China pays it, it's free money with no downside, etc. ... but my guess is that he just doesn't understand it.

It’s the biggest helicopter leasing event in the Western Hemisphere. Kind of a huge deal.

sadly there is a segment of the population that can only see tariffs hurt foreign companies and cannot see the reality that they end up paying, not the foreign companies. tariffs have their place for certain industries and dumping issues but people that vote with their balls and not their brains just see them as punishing a foreign company, go usa

Which is ironic because sellers aren't hurt one bit unless demand falls. The elasticity of demand is quite high for the sorts of luxury good you might gravitate towards importing anyway. It's all so, so flawed.

Its funny or ironic take your pick, but I recall conservative economist Lary Kudlow on CNBC and FOX ranting against tariffs and price controls as old failed democratic policies and I pretty much agreed with him as he preached free markets. Then, he joined trump's white house and suddenly he was lobbying for tariffs as a good thing for the economy.

    Situational economics I guess.

More brain rot from Trump Tuesday at a Fox News women's forum (even though it was stocked with RNC employees). They are pre-taping all these now for broadcast so they have time to make him look sane with editing.

Audience Question: Some abortions are necessary to save lives. Why is the government involved in women's basic rights?

    Trump (paraphrase): I ended Roe.

Harris calls it the trump tax. So she is running on it, but isn't connecting the dots as well as she could.

I previously mentioned his Coachella rally in which his supporters were stranded after the rally and had to walk several miles back to their cars. Although I cannot vouch for the accuracy of the that I read on the subject article and do not have a link there has been speculation that the Trump campaign owed money to the charter bus company and they refused to provide transportation back to the parking areas because they hadn't been paid.
Donald Trump followers left stranded in desert after Coachella Rally

To be fair, anyone should well know by now to require full payment up front from Donald the Grifter.

Speaking of disasters, the people in the audience (and the man who asked the question) really, really did not like Trump's answer:

    "We didn't have guns"

Cue Too Hot Conservative: Trump had nothing to do with them! He just refers to them as "we." Multiple times. Totally something you do when you have nothing to do with somebody!
