    Is taking a kid to Hooters sexualizing or grooming the kid? If so, is this something we should expect government to protect kids from or should this be up to parents?

    It would be interesting to know the ideological breakdown of those who are mad versus those who are not concerned. I imagine there may be some on the left who believe Hoooters objectifies women and don't want to promote that. But people on the right have been very worried about sexualizing/grooming kids lately- at least in the LGBT context.

    Parents of a 5-year-old are at the eye of a social media shade storm after taking their tot to Hooters on his big day.

    And while the giddy little boy — in a viral TikTok video with over 6.9 million views — is seen smiling ear to ear while flanked by a band of vivacious waitresses singing “happy birthday,” digital detractors in the post’s comments section angrily fired off jeers at his mother and father for “forcing sexualized stuff” on him.

    “Who TF is taking their child to Hooters [especially] on his birthday,” questioned an outraged onlooker.

    “Bro, he’s five. What’s he doing in Hooters? Great mom and dad,” asked another annoyed audience member, who added the eye-rolling emoji to emphasize their discontent.

    Taking 5yr old to Hooters= bad.

    Cutting off 5 yr old penis because he thinks he's a girl=good.

    Bringing in drag queens for 5 yrs olds school parties= good.

    Hooters is tame compared to it's past.

    He’s 5, the kid isn’t going to understand any of that at his age. Sounds like a bunch of people getting triggered for the sake of needing something to get triggered about. I took my son to Hooters numerous times when he was that age. I can’t help but laugh at the outrage.

    I'm appalled that parents would expose their children to terrible food like Hooters, they might grow up thinking heavily breaded wings are good

    My oldest son's literal first trip to any establishment was to Hooters on a Sunday afternoon for some football. His mom had to tag along so her firstborn didnt get too much attention.

    How about an example of a 5-year old who had his penis cut off. Just asking. As far as drag queens are concerned to the average 5-year old they're entertainers in costume not that much different than clowns.
