I drove through St. Louis twice in the last seven years. As you start seeing houses, you see old dingy brown brick houses. Looks pretty rough. I am never living there, lol.
Good. They should rub it in. Our guys need to feel disrespected. It will motivate those of them who care.
At the Missouri game last year a group of maybe 6-7 Miizzou fans sat about 5 rows behind the recruits attending the game. They seemed to be jawing with the recruits but mostly just making talk with fans around them. I don’t know what they were saying: It didn’t look confrontational but my seats are about 10 rows above theirs. As the game progressed one of the more vocal women in the group held up a small sign with Tyrone Hoppers name and number. The group was relishing the opportunity to trash the Gators as the game wore on. Thank God we won. I’ve hesitated to post this because I was not able to hear exactly what was being said and sometimes perception does not line up with reality. Wonder how they were able to get those seats right behind the recruits? Probably as simple as going on Ticketmaster and finding the closest ones. I’m sure Hopper sat in the recruiting section when he was being recruited so where we seat recruits is no secret. Incidentally, I’ve sat in those particular seats the last 6 years and have never seen anything like that before. Ugly display of poor sportsmanship.
If you are looking for or demanding class from players and fans, you are set-up for disappointment ultimately.
