I'm not going to go overboard. In another post, I pointed out how this stretch of games featured a lot of mediocre to poor teams that can give them a chance to regain their footing before finishing with Kentucky (2x), Arkansas, and Auburn.

He probably didn’t use the best approach, but I think his frustration is stemming from the fact that we can’t even enjoy a game thread or a win without constant negativity. Then, as soon as there’s a loss, here comes the flood of lurkers. I’ll give you credit, though you’re here win Lise or draw. While we disagree, I do hope that there is a time when you’ll be happy with the program. I can tell you really care about the team.
The guy uses language that should get him banned, plus he’s a liar. No one on here has been rooting for 7 years for White to be fired, and no one on here has wanted White to be fired so that Shaka Smart can be hired. He doesn’t seem like a fan to me. He’s just being inflammatory.
Maybe 33 as he has been riding CMW pretty damn for a long time. RE: his language, I think that was in response to the dude saying Castleton is a liability on defense in spite of CC being one of the best shot blockers in the SEC/country (2nd/16th). CC is far from a liability and anyone saying as much should draw some strong language. I think CMW is a decent coach and it's more about the Jimmie's and Joe's than X/O and maybe next year we'll see improvement. Appleby has played better of late, but he still has some inexplicable Apple turnovers that makes you wonder "what the hell was he thinking". We need a better PG to see significant improvement. And don't tell me we had Nemhard, he couldn't run the offense we wanted and we didn't have the supporting cast to showcase his talents.
We all have "tipping points" that conflict with our love of the Gators. We all hope for high standards and success. It's easy to get emotional, heck, I know I do. I would just suggest that we be as civil and respectful as possible towards each other. That of course should extend far beyond this board. Anyway -, not trying to moralize or post like (I am above the fray) because I am not, and I have my own rants. Came pretty close to getting kicked off this board by stupidly attacking Gator Growl after BAMA / UF football. (Yeah, really stupid) Anyway, those that follow this board enough have a pretty good idea where hearts lay. Hopefully "on court" results make the threads easy, as in, reflecting on Gator "W's".
Why the hell is there a "fray"? We just won 4 games with a depleted front court and these posters are - "well yeah but look who we played" and "well we can't be depending on hero ball" or whatever else crap they spew because we just can't be happy that the Gators won without negative and silly circular arguments claiming everything that happens proves CMW sucks. Of course everyone is entitled to their opinion. Full disclosure, I'm souring on Mike White but it gets old and stupid when you're on the game thread and some poster thinks that someone taking an ill advised shot after a timeout proves how bad CMW is and has to declare it even though they haven't had a positive post about CMW or the Gators in years. Like EVERYONE doesn't already know what they think. Well they certainly have the right to ruin the game threads and I have the right to say they're putzes for constantly doing it.
Hi benheb - thank you for your post. I do understand your post and agree that it is discouraging if not plain depressing to follow the Gators "game-thread". Due to the issues that you so aptly describe I have changed my routine on game day by cutting WAY back on posting (or reading posts). during the game. When I follow those game day threads now I typically wish them luck at the start, (sign off), come back at halftime for a brief comment then exit again and return (if we are winning) just before the end. Like you, it's mind numbing to go through the negativity. As a fan, I don't prefer to use the thread to attack the coach and team after every turnover, mistake or missed shot. I have posted repeatedly that yes, like many, I am a bit frustrated BUT, I love the Gators win, lose or draw.

No but I spent a lot of time in NYC. Upon consultation with a friend that lived there for years, I discovered that I was a putz for calling them putzes. She said these people were clearly schmucks and she said it takes a schmuck to know a schmuck which I'd like to add clears me of being a schmuck.
Shmucks are definitely worse than putzes. I didn’t realize until now that, if you’re a putz, you can’t be a shmuck. You learn something new every day.
I'm not excusing the language, but... He seems to me like a fan who is fed up with the constant whining and complaining. I wouldn't call him a liar, either. Perhaps he is exaggerating. I'd say that some people have been rooting for White to get fired for years... maybe not all seven years, but certainly at least 2-3 years. I think that some people don't realize just how annoying it is when many of us are just trying to enjoy our team, good or bad, yet you have a contingent of us who won't just give the anti-white rhetoric a rest.
I don't know if you noticed, but I have done the same, lately. Well... I guess you couldn't notice, because you aren't there to see me not there. But yeah, I am not in the game threads anywhere near as much as I used to be, because of exactly what you said. Shame that we have to stay away from the Gator fan forum during a game because of all the negativity. smh.
I don’t post during games at all. However, although I respect your knowledge of the game, if you and others would stop talking about White being a good coach, we would stop replying to your posts to tell you how bad he is. The only real defense I see of White is that his Gator teams make the dance and beat an average team before they get bounced. However, for reasons that I have explained over and over again, I believe that he is a mediocre coach.
