This from someone who thinks the Israel wall did a great job at keeping out terrorist attacks.... until it didn't. And did a great job keeping out Palestinians for years, despite evidence of thousands crossing daily. And the US wall being effective, despite Biden adding about 40 miles of Trump wall, and us seeing record numbers of apprehensions! Anyone besides Skippy here tell me how any of this is evidence of a wall working?

And what's your plan to address our labor shortage needs? Anything?

And anyone other than Skippy think simply putting a closed sign and telling people to remain in Mexico will work? And Mexico won't retaliate somehow like closing the border? And the migrants will just happily wait? Or return home?

Only idiots think simple solutions solve complex problems. Problems that's been with us for multiple generations.

So the wall in Israel worked for 15 years preventing countless attacks but since Hamas used hang gliders and bulldozers to get around the wall. So Skippy, are there a lot of migrants driving bull dozers and taking hang gliders? Otherwise I think a wall work just fine. Can’t fix stupid.

So disappointing- you could either DO SOMETHING to help fix this problem, or just sit around posting on a message board and calling people skippy or sport.

Here's the link to how you can help, sporty skip. I mean skippy sport. Now swing into action please!

Try to stay on topic. I know it can get complicated on this message board, but if you can’t keep up I’d suggest sitting this one out.

Or, Hamas lulled Israel into a false sense of security and devised a way to obliterate the billion dollar wall defenses with cheap drones and common construction equipment? Either way, the wall failed. And you do know the opposite of effective is failure?

That failure of a wall prevented countless terror attacks for over a decade. That’s ok. Anyone with a brain knows that. That why you and one other clown are the only ones arguing that a wall doesn’t work lol.

The wall was great until it was attacked by cheap drones and common construction equipment? That's your argument. Hamas got past the wall so quickly and easily, you really think all this time it was the wall stopping attacks? And not Hamas bidding time and lulling Israel into a false sense of security? LOL

Didn't Mexico allow them into Mexico in the first place? Saying no to keeping them seems a little late. They should not have allowed them in the first time.

During the pandemic, yes. But the pandemic is over. And the numbers at the border would be 4X the numbers from 2020. Something Mexico wouldn't tolerate.

I don't understand, the people crossing today entered Mexico after the pandemic was over. Mexico still admitted them into their country.

Because Israel and Palestine are stuck in the 3rd Century and
Yes or no. A bulldozer is common at construction sites? Yes or no, Gaza, with about 600k residents packed into 141 square miles has modern construction sites with common equipment?

You make it sound like the Israel wall was this golem that kept the Jews safe for years. And it was a stroke of luck Hamas got lucky with drones you can buy at Wal-Mart and common construction equipment, and the wall barely fell! In reality, Hamas quickly figured out a plan using Wal-Mart drones and common equipment found at any construction site, and completely neutered the wall to 100% ineffective in minutes.

Hamas could've done this whenever they wanted. But they were patient, did some dry run tests, and carried out a very coordinated, highly effective attack. And the wall? A useless construction project that cost billions of shekels.

Must not really be that much of a problem considering that Republicans led by their servile Speaker of the House and the cognitively diminished defeated indicted former president continue to oppose a bipartisan bill that expedite asylum process as well as address other problems with the current immigration system.

I would like to see a link from you showing where anyone can walk across the border illegally. Right now, I am pretty sure that if you cross the border onto U.S. soil, you legally can stay in the U.S. until your asylum application has been reviewed by an administrator.

Dude this is so awesome. You are comparing a coordinated terror attack that used a barrage of rockets, drones, hang gliders and bulldozers to migrants who in your view have no money and just want to work in our great country. Absolutely hilarious. If you ever sit around wondering why people laugh at you on this forum, just look at what you've posted in this thread and it should answer your question definitively. Just when I think you couldn't be anymore obtuse, you go and totally surprise me by saying something even more outlandish.

Everyone is looking for a more orderly immigration process. Only the GOP wants to demonize asylum applicants and f around with silliness acting like the current deal was not adequate. Supporters of the GOP have lost all rights to complain, but complain they will.

Oh, so the border issue just started? Hey, at least you aren't being partisan...

Do some of you even think before you spew the partisan garbage. Only reason D's are moving on the border is because they saw their polling was so bad that they finally had to something about it. The R's were dumb to even allow the border to be packaged in like it was some throw in to the Ukraine issue. And allowing up to 5k immigrants a day is a crazy number. Both sides are idiots. Don't worry, I'm sure you and the other far left and right nut jobs will blame the other side without taking any responsibility.

First, don’t call me a far left nut job. Im not far left and it’s against the rules. Second, negotiations on the current border bill began last year and went on for months. There was zero bipartisan negotiations attempted after Trump nixed a deal early on in his administration that included a DACA solution. The GOP knows there is nothing better than a crisis and solving a crisis eliminates a crisis.

Their last bill? Oh…That bill doesn’t, in fact, offer funds for anything that might stop immigration. Instead, it demands that the Department of Homeland Security ensure border agents get adequate religious counseling. While it doesn’t require the Border Patrol to be staffed entirely with anti-vaxxers, it does require DHS to “make every effort to retain Department employees who are not vaccinated against COVID-19.”

The collection of peeves from the culture wars scattered through Republicans’ last bill underscores just how crazy it is for anyone to believe the GOP would take an honest shot at solving the immigration issue. Again, H.R. 2 specifies that “no funds are authorized to be appropriated for electric vehicles.”

Their last bill is a joke of a bill without any serious attempt to secure the border. The fact that anyone would believe the GOP is an honest broker in this issue is the joke.
