    Wallace grounds to short and they cut down Goelz at home. 2 outs, Skylar at 1st, Erickson up.

    Very disappointing. The Gators had a few chances to win but couldn't produce. Couldn't ask more from our pitchers. I don't know what to think about this offense.

    Yep. It is surprising since Coach Walton said he thought our offense would be elite this year. Last year's offense was very good. It was the pitching that weas subpar. But this year's lineup is much better and deeper, statistics-wise. But it's only 2 games, freshmen getting their feet wet and transfers adapting to this new group. Plus, the 2 pitchers we faced are both excellent, experienced pitcher. Oregon State's pitcher is a grad transfer who was on the Texas staff that went to the WCWS last year and Michigan's pitcher today was All Big Ten. Our young pitchers were supposed to be the big question mark and our 2 aces have started off great. The offense will get it going, IMO.

    Everyone is used to run rule games at this stage in the game. Pitchers were great on both sides. Best thing that could have happened.

    It would seem we no longer need to worry about Keagan's health. Outstanding 12 innings to start her career with only one hit and no earned runs. I can't believe we won't start hitting with this lineup but, today, we wasted an elite level performance by Keagan. She is probably used up for the weekend other than possibly one or two innings tomorrow if needed. Just a game we had multiple chances to win and didn't come through at the plate. Very disappointing. We could be running short of pitching with three games to go. Remains to be seen.

    I just jumped in and skimmed the game thread. Busy day with the family.

    While a loss. And Michigan may not be the Michigan of old. Our issue has been pitching. And pitching did not lose this game skimming the game thread. And after the first game…

    I think we could have something special happen this season if our young pitchers are this good!

    Format for extra innings sucks. Rothrock gets the L even though she pitched very well the whole game. Since they don’t count the runner from second against her ERA, they shouldn’t give her the loss. Should be a “team” loss , which it was.
