at 58, of cancer. He was a devout Christian, a columnist and a speechwriter. His personal comportment in accordance with his faith made him admired and respected by all who knew him. He was one of my contemporary heroes for his humility and gentleness and adherence to his faith. He once observed:

“[C]hristians have broadly chosen the company of Trump supporters who deny any role for character in politics and define any useful villainy as virtue. In the place of integrity, the Trump movement has elevated a warped kind of authenticity — the authenticity of unfiltered abuse, imperious ignorance, untamed egotism and reflexive bigotry. This
is inconsistent with Christianity by any orthodox measure.”

About what can be expected from a dentist who posted on this forum he would fire any of his dental assistants and staff who voted for Obama.

What do you expect when the original post as usual was more about bashing Trump than about the death itself?

I dont know when that was written, but from a business standpoint, that's just stupid. You know how hard it is to find quality staff nowadays? Shoot, my staff could have voted for Satan himself but as long as they do quality work, show up on time and are responsible, who cares?

What distinguished Michael Gerson was that he was a journalist and commentator with impeccable credentials as a conservative Evangelical Christian and was willing to criticize Donald Trump. His columns critical of the former president were well written, well thought out and fact based and let's also not forget that he was a faith based adviser and speech writer for former President George W. Bush.

The way they define the term, a RINO is anyone who doesn't kowtow to the former defeated president. A politician's history or actual positions on policy are completely irrelevant.

Well you fail to realize that the original poster used the death of his hero as an opportunity to trash talk Trump. When you start a post like that on a political forum you should expect some opposition.

PS funny you should mention his columns critical of Trump were fact based.....That seems to show you are aware that other so called journalist's columns critical of Trump were not so fact based.

Pot calling the kettle black. I don’t read biased trash from morons that make their living ginning up hate at the Washington post. I’m sure 99% of the posters never heard of this “journalist”. I’m certain I’ll never hear his name again.

Never said that but I do tend to hire and keep folks with great work ethic so things usually work themselves out eventually.

You may have never heard of him but I would venture to say that you're familiar of some of the speeches that he wrote among them President George W. Bush's speech following the 9-11 attack on the World Trade Center. Here's an excerpt from that speech.
This is what President Bush had to say about Micheal Gerson.
Would you consider this column from Gerson as "biased trash" from a moron as I'm sure a number of liberal Democrats probably did?
Gerson: Obama's long-term goals hurt America
    or this one:
Michael Gerson: Obama can’t wish away terrorism
    or maybe this one:
Gerson: Obama’s speech anything but ‘tough talk’

Every now and then you see a great music producer/writer that hasn’t had work in a while since let’s say the early 90’s where they were on fire with acts like Nirvana take on and help out a new act that’s more like Lil Nas X because they see an opportunity to cash in. They know that their new music is dreadful but it pays the bills. This sounds like what this guy was about. I don’t blame him because there is a huge market for pretend conservatives mocking Trump. You guys obviously read it.

You are unable to accept the fact that a conservative Evangelical Christian can be critical of the deranged former president. Apparently you feel that he has to have some type of ulterior motive. By the way the late Charles Krauthammer also a very well respected conservative writer and commentator and a regular on multiple Fox News shows castigated in Trump in a number of his columns. I suspect that you feel the same about Krauthammer that you do about Gerson.
