Love watching his antics on the sidelines! He seems to have created some new and unique cheer each game.
I don't know, man, the bench hype thing is getting a little out of control to me at this point. Not just at UF. It's like they are putting on a high school play after every made basket. Not every tough basket warrants a "hold me back" reaction. ANyway, love Micah regardless. He seems like just a 7 ft tall goofball. Hopefully he gets some dog in him before he comes back next year, though.
Yeah, how about more fan shots and less of the bench. It's like ESPN's director doesn't have any other ideas beyond goofing with Micah.
It's a great problem to have, but I have thoughts about a potential logjam of talent in our front court next season with Handlogten returning to the lineup. Handlogten, Condon, Chinyelu and Haugh. Who starts and who gets minutes? Like said, this is a great problem to have.
And Alexis. And Rioux? I've heard people talk about Condon going pro but I just don't see it, yet. Probably needs to get bigger and work on his perimeter game. He struggles with bigger guys defending him around the rim. So I could definitely see him coming back, which would be fantastic because he is a phenomenal Gator and college player. But yeah, what do you do with 5 very good bigs and a 7'-9" sub? If Condo comes back, does Alexis transfer with Micah coming back, or stay and steal a few minutes from Haugh? I'm sure it will sort itself out somehow.
ALL I KNOW - is, somebody from Gator Basketball needs to get busy filming, splicing and editing Micah's "sideline celebrations". I mean the young man is clearly 1st team all american in this regard! I would happily watch a 10 minute You-Tube of Micah sideline celebrations. NOBODY does it like Micah!! Can't wait to see him whole next season!
It's the way it goes now. It's up to Todd to convince all these guys to be pieces of the larger whole, and if they want to be The Guy instead, they will shop their services to a different university. The selling them on staying could be shifting Condon to only playing the 4 and little to no time at the 5, or pushing Haugh to playing some 3, idk. It's a logjam of minutes, and definitely a good problem to have, if you can keep them all. The jury is still out on if Alexis is an SEC caliber player IMO.
