Tape goes under socks. We have no way of telling if their ankles are taped when they're on the court.
Guys that wear low tops and short socks sure don’t tape em very high, but I’ll take your word for it.
Was planning to go to the Michigan game. Without knowing whether Mitch will play, I won't attend. We are a different team without his participation. The lack of transparency is BS.
It was looking like another Egbunu situation for awhile and any passionate Gator basketball fan knows what I’m talking about. Some of you can take your attempted humor and go back to playing in the sandbox.
Nobody wears high tops anymore, but even still mid and high tops are not structurally strong enough to stop ankle rolls. The only thing that gives actual protection is an ankle brace, but they are not comfortable and there’s a trade off. It’s a myth that low tops are less safe as basketball shoes. What’s really important is the fit, heel lockdown, and the outrigger. I have been playing a long time and I have never seen basketball players tape their ankles in a way that covers up or ruins the “cool” basketball sneakers. That would be unsafe and cover important parts of the outsole, which is critical for traction. What are you talking about man lol. Basketball players tape the ankle without the shoe on and then put on the shoe. The shoe doesn’t adhesive on it.
When I was young I played in Adidas Superstar shoes. Low cut and WAY better than playing in Chuck Taylors.
If players don’t want their medical status divulged, it’s not going to be. No one is entitled to know, either.
I get that but we were actually lied to about John Egbunu without any apology or update or anything. That’s not secrecy that’s deception.
No one is entitled to a player’s medical record aka Keyontae Johnson. I get it, we were fed that line about 500 times at least.
Lied to? Again, that seems a bit dramatic. You don’t think when they initially said they hoped to get him back by January, they meant that? He had a lingering issue that didn’t ever get to the point where he could go. It happens. I really don’t think there’s any conspiracy here man. Injuries aren’t always cut and dry. Medical information is not legally allowed to be shared without consent. Some injuries are day to day, some are week to week. Handlogten was a day to day thing. It’s not so much secrecy as it is there’s no good answers, and sometimes even when there are good answers, they aren’t legally allowed to be shared.
We were told during the preseason “January”. Story didn’t change. They did it to hype the team up. They knew something we didn’t and we were never updated because collectively we aren’t a very demanding fanbase. I mean look how long it took us to even change the tv camera angle to view the student base instead of half dead old farts in the general section.
Syas the least liked and most unpleasant person this board has to offer. Go write some more about us being the 13th best SEC team. Maybe someone will agree with you one of these years.
