    He will still continue teaching in the engineering department.
    Two new graduation requirements though, taking a selfie with him and learning to spell his last name. lol

    My son and his wife graduated in 2020 from UF and they 100% adore Fuchs.

    I think he pronounces it ‘fox’ because he got made fun of every day at school when he said it the right way

    A couple I know were friends with Fuchs’ wife back before she was married. They knew her last name, but didn’t make the connection to UF. A few years ago when Fuchs was president, they ran into her in West Palm.

    They asked where she was living and she replied Gainesville. They said “Oh, what are you doing there?” She said, “Uh … my husband is UF president.” My friends, both UF grads, were kind of embarrassed to not know. :D
