Mertz done for the season

It still was legend!

 

He's a baller. Make no bones about it.

 

I thought Mertz was hit late a couple times last night.

 

I like how he mentioned several INTs...hasn't looked at the season stats then. We have 3 INTs over 11 games.

 

Playing in the class 3A division in Oklahoma, Max Brown racked up 61 touchdowns his senior season. Brown redshirted last season behind Anthony Richardson.

I'm excited for Max. Brings a completely different wrinkle to the position. Question is can the staff "modify" their game plan to give Max his best chance. Next year he's getting nowhere near a football on game day with Mertz and Lagway so this could be it for Max as a starter at UF.

What has happened to Jack Miller?

 

You say that but no one knows how Lagway will transition to the college game look at Arch Manning, couldn't crack the line up and rumors are he will be transferring.

 

You better not say that to the Vast majority of UF football and Administration.
They are betting the farm on Lagway. At least as far as expectations go.

 

I have been saying since he committed that the best case scenario is that Mertz plays well and Lagway redshirts. If not I expect Brown to transfer out after spring ball.

 

Well Brown could also play baseball, tho there is plenty of competition there also.

 

We are due then, let’s get it.

 

He has almost zero shot at making the lineup in baseball. There’s a log jam of talent in the OF as it is. Not being able to participate in fall practice only puts him further behind. He’d likely have to give up football completely, and even then it’s a long shot. Remember, if he gives up football, he loses his scholarship too. No way baseball keeps him on full scholarship. Doubt they’d even offer a partial.

 

Yea, I know, just presenting all options.

 

Transfer portal. I would be surprised if he hangs around.
