Mertz done for the season

Well at this point what else could go wrong…..

 

Here's to a quick recovery for the young man. He was getting beat up and he still put it all on the line to get that first down. Such a tough break, no pun.

 

Dang! I thought so. He went out a warrior though . . . doing everything he could to help his team!

 

Loads of heart. He’s been pretty amazing this year. Recover swiftly Mr.Mertz.

 

Great season, now I'm interested in what Max will be able to do vs f$u.

It is going to be an interesting game with Travis out.

 

Blitz their QB till he throws us several INTs.... then repeat it will we win.

 

Pretty sure they are thinking the same thing about us.

 

Sorry his season ended this way but man it was so gutsy.

Hope he comes back next year.

 

What are the chances both teams lose their starting QB the same night? Sheesh.

 

Mertz was a bright spot and an unexpected success this year. For the guy that was predicted to be the worst QB in the SEC, he was way better than that. Whatever faults this team has, I don't lay any of that on him. Glad he became a Gator. We're going to miss him next week.

 

Mertz is tough as hell. Can’t wait to see him back next year. He doesn’t have the physical build of Tebow but he has the same heart.

Throws ints to whose defense? Ours?

 

Travis survived when their oline was basically 5 guys who couldn't block. Mertz survived some ridiculous hits in the pocket and gets injured when he runs over 2 guys. Things happen without any rhyme or reason.

 

Mertz was a bright spot for us this year. Glad the many naysayers were wrong.
Hope he recovers quickly.

Graham, if by off-chance you read these boards, thank you for what you’ve done this year. Your hard work, determination and guts were evident. There were many doubters about your ability, and you proved them wrong, all of them. Your passion along the sidelines, your encouragement to other players, your growth as a player are something to be proud of. Hell, it stings to lose, and I hate you got injured. You battled like the warrior you are. Thank you, Gator Nation thanks you, and wishes you a speedy recovery.

 

Mertz impressed all year long. I hope he has a speedy recovery.

 

I agree but doubt it will happen.
Appears this defense plays uninspired and more trying not to get beat. They don't run to the ball or play with any emotion.

I do think we need to have Brown running the zone read a lot!

 

If we had won last night, that run would have been legend.
