UConn takes defense to the opposing team. Switching off they still are locked in. This is what it takes. Also, it was a joy to see them have players stacked up and down the court for in bounding the ball, no matter the pressure, they got it across the line and usually had open court in front of them. One last thing, half court offense with them was a thing of beauty. CTG, get this film and break down how it works and implement it for the Gators! The difference in their program and the rest of the NCAA D-1 Teams. I picked them in a family pool I was rewarded. Spencer the tough white boy guard was glue for their team. It is about playing both sides of the court, offense and defense. We were great on offense but treated defense like, oh really, we have to do that. Condon, Aberdeen and Haugh both tried, but the rest of the team defended about 3/4 quarters of the time. This is what it takes and a strong, physical front court.
I noticed that they don't waste any dribbles. If they're dribbling it's to get the offense switched to the other side. They're a very high basketball IQ team. Probably one of the most gifted teams in recent memory.
