Red4512, Dr. Richard E. Diaz in real life, was a great member of GatorCountry from March 2010 until his death a week ago. He actually made his last post on the site near his death: GatorCountry would like to remember this great member with a Memorial Brick in his name on campus. We are in the process of creating a GoFundMe to pay for his brick. The link will posted as soon as it is established. I wanted to start this post which will be linked from the GoFundMe page. His obituary is below: Richard Diaz Obituary Dr. Richard E. Diaz, age 64, of Tyrone, GA, passed away, June 4, 2023. Richard attended University of Florida and Mercer College of Pharmacy. He was a doctor of pharmacy at Grady Memorial Hospital. Richard loved nature, hiking, and traveling to National Parks. He was prededed in death by his mother, Martha Earline Bey Diaz and is survived by his wife, Cindy Diaz; his daughter, Xena Diaz; his father, Joseph Anthony Diaz; his brother, Mark Anthony Diaz and his wife, JoAnn; aunt, Jo Lessey; and several cousins. A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 8, 2023 at 11:30 a.m. at Hopewell UMC in Tyrone with Rev. Dr. Scott Pickering and Rev. Jin Hopson officiating. It is an amazing tribute to the wonderful members of GatorCountry who allows us to reach the goal in less than 8 hours. I had no idea we could reach it so quickly. We will leave the fund open until Friday to allow as many people as possible who wish to contribute. All the money not required for the brick will be donated in the name of Red4512, Dr Richard Diaz.
