No whacking on the job. I thought that was kind of a given, and nobody had to actually tell you that.
Too much work for him. He looks for loaded teams that he can take to the top of the mountain. Michigan State isn’t loaded
They should also investigate the AD who gave this guy a 10-year contract, worth what, a literal pot of gold, based on one year's work. Tucker thanked this idiot by following right up with a 5-7 season. Worth every penny! I have to wonder if it's the same guy who gave Charlie Weis a 10-year contract at Notre Dame (how did that work out?), and followed it up with the Jimbo hire at A&M (how is that going?). Maybe this guy moves around in college football like Will Muschamp miraculously getting work, while proving the definition of insanity. Actually I'm wondering if there is some kind of disease that infects only college ADs, the primary symptom being these ridiculous coaching contracts. It could be called the TYC (Ten-Year-Contract) Virus. Maybe the NCAA should hire Dr. Fauci or Dr. Sanjay Gupta to look into this.
For Mel Tucker's sake, I hope it was worth it. Isn't there a saying that the crazy ones are the best in bed?
...he does hate Michigan. But I wonder if he can be successful in this new world, hard ass, kicking the players type coaches will have guys running for the portal.
If this is the lengths they went to in finding an investigator then Tucker should just negotiate a resignation, and start right now. It’s He said, she said and we all know how the support/disgust of him will line up. An attorney of this background representing a client of this background will be played out full scale in the media. The “leaks” that will come out of this will make the politicians blush
I don’t see how they could justify firing tucker for this and feel comfortable hiring urban as his replacement
