Wow - feel bad for Holloway.

He was off in his semi, and really off in the final.

He was slowing down as soon as the 7th hurdle. Even then, he led after all 10 hurdles, but had to have a HUGE lean to get silver.

Congrats, but he has to be bitterly disappointed.

Looks like he peaked in the Trials.

And the last kick in the nuts tonight was Will Claye finishing off the podium by one inch.

I know what you mean, but it is a pretty good day when it is "disappointing" to win a silver medal in the Olympics.

He will be 26 at the next Olympics, so still a prime age for competing.

It is not deceiving if they are all counted the same way. Additionally, UF had 3 times the contribution than other schools who had one player on the medaling team. Also, the official count by Team USA has Stanford at 17 and UF at 14 right now. UF is #1 among Universities if you go by gold medals, which is what China goes by in their rankings putting them number 1 in the country count.

Congratulations to Florida State! They earned a bronze medal in this year's games. They have finally reached double digits for their all time Olympic medals at 10.

When comparing to other universities it’s apples to apples, but if you pull up a countries medal table it isn’t. Unless you give Canada 19 medals for soccer for example, or the US 12 medals for men’s basketball, which isn’t how it works.
As I said though, it’s a great showing regardless.

Mark Kolozsvary has contributed significantly, also.

I don't know how many baseball players have won a college national championship, and an Olympic medal, but that is a good club for him to join!

Gold for Gators Adriana Leon and Deanne Rose in women’s soccer (Team Canada)! Rose scored a goal in the OT penalty kicks!

I think that puts UF 17th if we were a country.
