What previous classes fell apart as badly? Not trying to be confrontational, just genuinely curious. I remember last year's was bad when we lost Rashada and Cormani. There was another year where we lost a 5-star DL to Auburn. Don't remember his name, but he turned out to be a bust.
That is an invitation to look for past coaching mistakes... Why even think about that? More and more recruits are coming out and saying they are staying with the Gators... "swamp babies."
Well, start with the fact that every time a head coach leaves, classes fall apart. Head coaches leave every year.
We never had Cormani. And I remember macs last recruiting class was ranked 1st at one point and that of course fell completely apart. Plus this class hasn't "fallen apart" we had decommits from 3 out of state players (4 if amaris goes) that decommitted from us as suddenly as they all committed to us. If we lose Lagway and Daniels etc then maybe. Plus we will fill those empty spots with more quality players either through HS or the portal.
I guess I’m an infant compared to some here. But in all seriousness my post was more about how recent events has me worried about the team. I’m tired of getting twitter messages from people saying “games were played.” The potential Hayes news was nice morale boost
It's the state of college football now. Games will always be played. Almost every class loses committed players. Hell UGA lost a top LB to Auburn, it is what it is. While they were some very talented players at different positions... not one of them was potentially a program changing committ. Lagway is that. Never amy guarantees , but He can potentially change our soon to be future and lead us back to the top echelon of teams competing for it all.
2019? Of the entire class, there are about 4 that did not transfer. These guys failed to make it to the first game of the season. CB chris Steele WR Arjei Henderson LB Diwun Black OL Deyavie Hammond QB Jalon Jones OL Wardrick Wilson Florida Gators 2019 Recruiting Class (247sports.com)
Meh j/k. But I just assume that goes with out saying since both lines of scrimmage are the building blocks and The foundation that needs to be established before any other success on both those sides of the ball can be attained consistently. I feel like we'll get there personally, and truly don't think we're as bad as our record shows. Just have to continue a to.learn how win a full 60 minutes of football
