Braun left the team in November if 2022. That means he quit even before that. He couldn’t beat out Torrence or White. McMillon sucked. He was never going to see the field and would be worse than the 2 slow guys we had. He was more suited for the ACC. Powell was good but he wasn’t going to have stats like that against SEC opponents. Look at VT’s schedule. Our freshman would have had those stats if they played that schedule.
Exactly what is trying to be conveyed here? I'm too old for Twitter/X. Would someone dumb this down for the old guy?
Just trying to flip him , they are friends or maybe previous teammates I guess. Auburn is getting traction with some players. We need to pay up to keep McCray Filseme or however you spell his name, said he was solid and it would take a lot to flip him to Texas. To me that means a big check.
Ummm, 14 passes in 2 years in a pass happy offense......cmon now Bobby. Would be #1 at UF? I saw him plenty at West Orange, talented upside for sure but lets not get silly.
"Braun all SEC 2nd year in a row"......please explain how Braun played in 2 games at UF last year and was all SEC? I anxiously await that magical reply. Good kid, wish he stayed, but he wasn't starting and left. Powell had an incident and had to leave.....things happen McMillon is a nice solid player that went back closer to home to start. He likely would have been a quality backup at UF but don't blame him for his decision. I'm not sure those tackles are so great either....no interceptions, one PBU, no sacks, one tackle for loss. On the surface it looks like he was run support or tackling a lot of guys after they caught the ball. He sure wasn't making plays on the ball before the catch
the last 3 games of this past season, he came on. That’s undeniable. Outside of EW3, what returning WR on our roster had better production than Gibson? Also, OU threw it 408 times to our 390
McCray visited FSU again with Mom and on official to Auburn. Walker there trying to convince him to flip like he did
I guess came on is a relative term.....he caught 2 passes per game in that stretch. You said he would be WR1 at UF next year which I think we all know is wrong. K Jackson even had more catches than Gibson. And of course EW had 61 catches in his true fresh year despite missing extended time with injury.
Jackson had more catches for way less yards, way less ypc and 4 less TD’s. And yea EW3 is in line to be WR1 but let’s keep it honest, a lot of his “catches” were pop passes when he was sent in motion. We will see what he can do if he given chances to run a full route tree. Not saying he can’t, i believe he can, but we will see
I’m hopeful to see a jump from Mizell and Jean too. I believe both had some injuries this year. Mizell is definitely a guy who can stretch the field vertically.
I'm pretty comfortable going with a guy with 61 catches in a partial freshman year vs a guy with 14 catches in 2 full seasons And I'll admit I am biased....saw the way the kid handled himself in multipe high school games. Talented yes, but it takes more than that And IF we take care of business in the portal and/or IF the young WR step up this all doesn't matter
EW3 started catching longer passes later in the year when Mertz started throwing more long balls... so he can catch the longer passes. I just hope Mertz starts next season where he left off this past season... throwing more long balls. He was really catching on late in the year. I think Napier will let Mertz open up the passing more in his second year. More long-balls less out passes, please.
I think this all comes down to the OL. If Mertz won't die while waiting for the routes then we can do more of that kind of stuff.
thats wild disrespectful to say about about Powell. The best true freshmen DE in the ACC was Rueben Bain and he wasn’t close to as productive as Powell was.
this is wild for me to say, but like just replace George and keep the OL healthy and I think they can be a player in the SEC. Not saying dominant, but 2018 level. if they all return and physical improve, they will be fine. Hoping that Harris and/or Kearney become starters next year
