Back when we had phone books, I used to always say you could rip pages out and get to 435 house members and they could probably do just as good as what we have. I do like your minimum requirements though!

Could not be any worse, or more dysfunctional, than what we currently have.

Add mandatory retirement at age 70 and I'm in.

There are too many old baby boomers whose philosophies harken back to the 1950s.

And although he wasn't an absolute sycophant not to mention the defeated indicted former president. Were it not for Mitch he wouldn't have been able to pack a Supreme Court that overturned Roe v. Wade. Similarly there is a fair chance that if Mitch didn't actively oppose conviction of Trump following his second impeachment there is a possibility that Trump could have been convicted by the Senate and would not be able to run for the presidency again. Keep in mind that Mitch McConnell made the argument that a conviction by the Senate was unnecessary since the criminal justice could try Trump for any crimes that he may have committed related to the January 6th insurrection. Ironically, Mitch's SCOTUS is now considering Trump's claim that he is immune from prosecution for acts committed while he was in office.
