McClellan, a sophomore, has 46 tackles and two sacks in his two seasons with the Gators.

Ranked No. 176 in the 2022 ESPN 300, the Owasso, Oklahoma, prospect was a four-star prospect. McClellan quickly announced a big offer.

They added teeth to the logo a few years ago but it still looks like a receptacle.

If he went to FSU, that would be an In-Your-Face move.

    Not good.

Like Cox and Kimber? I try not to read that much into transfers - may just be going to a high profile team where they can get PT.

If these guys end up at FSU or Georgia, I don't want to hear anything about them being Gators. That's a vile proposition.

I can’t locate the vomit emoji and that’s the most appropriate reply IMO.

They're employees. Do you get mad when a UF lawn care staffer leaves to work at UGA?

Time to mentally disconnect the football team from the university. They're only associated now in order to milk alumni for money.

Your choice, either spend a bunch of money and time employing teenagers so they can practice for the NFL or don't. Personally I'm not going to, I'll watch games when I'm not busy and post here during work downtime out of habit but don't really have a vested interest in the team.

I'd like to thinks that not true. But it is becoming increasingly true.

I think there is SOME loyalty and team pride, but only about as much as someone on a professional team. Which is, to say, not much at all.

It IS the way it is. Now, will the fans stay or go away?

I suspect many of us will stay out of habit but I'll never spend another dollar on it, be it tickets or merchandise. I've got enough from before it became a semi pro league.

Wonder what the value proposition is for new fans? Come watch professionals who aren't good enough to be real professionals while they pretend to be part of your school for maybe a season and demand million dollar salaries?

It’s just business that is all it is and that’s all it will ever be! You are getting your panties in a wad if you think players that play for us are leaving and going to a rival. It is just business.

Then stop the trivial announcments on your way out! Here is what they should say: I’m entering the portal, it’s a business decision. I don’t want to hear “ after much praying and reflection” garbage or how much you love your teammates and fans. None of that shit matters or else you wouldn’t be leaving. Business is business, stop lying on the way out. It’s a slap in the face to the fans, boosters, coaches, and your teammates.

That depends, does that lawn care guy have a jersey #? And do you watch him on Saturdays? Do you cheer for him as he makes a sharp cut by the hedges, streaks down the curb line, edging himself closer to the mailbox?
