Because they won the SEC regular season and had an amazing OOC schedule in terms of difficulty. It should be about the entire season’s body of work in which case they are obviously deserving.

Every day that both teams from Alabama lose is a great day, especially when the Gators are doling out a major spanking to one of them.

 

Thankfully we don’t have to rely on ratings. We get to settle it on the court. Watching Arizona vs Houston, announcers just said Houston is the best team nationally. We will see.

 

Tomorrow will be a different game. Bama is a very good offensive team and struggles on D. UT is a very good defensive team and struggles on O. The Gators are very good on both D and O.

UT will want the game to be a rock fight.

 

Good point. A great chance for proponents of the "tired legs" theory to make their case vs. Vols.

Losing in a Championship game shouldn't penalize a team. We should be slightly ahead of Houston for the #2 1-seed.

I attended both Houston and Florida All I will say is Florida has not seen a defense in the likes of Houston, but Houston has not seen the offense in the likes of Florida so….. ‍♂️

 

In the 2nd half we held them to 3 FGs in the first 10:44. That was a monumental dismantling of their offense.

 

They seem ready to in that post team interview. We are going in the tourney playing I think our best and lights out. Destroying teams that would be otherwise champions. I don’t think we lose another game this season although to be fair I haven’t watched a single Duke game.

 

No matter how good they are, they are not battle tested like any SEC team. Top heavy conference and SEC has to fight hard every game. No scared of Houston.

Top 3 Vegas odds. I don’t know how current these are. Don’t think it counts for today’s win but according the public, Auburn is locked with Duke. And Florida is 3rd not far behind and I’m sure with that win and definitely if we win the SEC tournament, we are set to be right there. Houston is not the best in the country.

 

Thankfully we know the arena and sightlines for the game now. Not like we are walking in blindfolded. We shot our worst game at UT but we crushed them in Gainesville knowing the arena. It's gonna be a knockdown game with how they play but we've got Handlogten to throw at them now too.

 

I would like to apologize to the University of Alabama basketball team. That was an unfair performance and unkind to their feelings. Pounding the snot out of them the second half and causing their "All-American" guard to tap out was just not sporting.

 

Such a dominating win! Can’t wait for the narrative to be Tennessee deserves a 1 seed now. If our name was Duke we’d be the overall #1 at this point.
