And two of those misses were by handlogten who never makes his free throws so our guys hit pretty much everything.

 

Handlogten’s free throw shooting is a mystery. he’s coming off a broken leg, where the only thing you can practice during your recovery is free throws. I’d expect at least 70% coming off the injury.

 

It worked out that he blocked out Walt because that basically allowed time to run out.

 

The Martin dunk was a great moment and shot. This one, being at the end of the championship win, is THE iconic event of the tourney, at least for us good guys. The look on Clayton's face in that moment IS the moment that defines the greatest player in UF basketball history.

Someone needs to make a poster and shirts from it. Honest.

And he deliberately went to his left (shooter's right) in order to avoid potentially being called for a foul. That is all about having basketball IQ at crunch time. Some guys have it, most do not.

It seemed like you guys were having to come back in nearly every game during the tournament. It wasn’t pretty, but you indeed proved you were the best team all year.

I am also excited that Tennessee has their spring football game this weekend. Y’all have your Spring game this weekend as well and it will be a fantastic week for you guys. I’m a little envious.

There are stats and then there is grit for 40.000 minutes. He definitely had the latter. And to this, I definitely thought the two stories of the game and the way it played out, besides the win, was that Martin had a middling game for the way Houston played Clayton (thank God for our third option!) and that our bigs collectively were not as talented/intense as Houston's. The number and times of their blocks of our shots and the offensive rebounds was quite huge in this game.

All I can say with some certainty is that I believe we got Houston's A+ game and they also had the home crowd. And that just wasn't good enough.

Houston looks at each other and say "How did we lose this game? We HAD it!?!" And off in the corner of the arena, the UConn, Maryland, Texas Tech and Auburn brain trusts wave to them and say "welcome to the club, have a seat."

 

You can always say you beat the national champs by 20 points. You had an excellent team this year. We just happened to have one of those special teams.

 

They do have UCF’s AD. Hang the banner, have the trophy and rings made!

 

I wear a 10 1/2. I prefer white gold, if possible.

 

It was a weird seating arrangement. He was there. He and other bench guys had to sit behind the starters and top subs, probably to free up more front row space for media and bigwigs.

 

Does anyone else feel awesome today? I feel amazing! Food tastes better, music is jazzier. Life is good.
