Great to get this feel good win with having the weekday game bye. Would have sucked to have a bad taste for a week heading into a tough game!

 

Of course they did, that's what 14 YOs are primarily there for.

 

This morning, Gators are #5 in NCAA Net Ranking (the most important), #5 in Kenpom, #4 in Torvik, #7 in Massey, and #4 in All My Sports Teams Suck. Solid 2-seed territory, flirting with a 1-seed.
Awbrin leads the SEC, followed by Alabama, then Florida and Missouri. If we approach each game with an all-business attitude, we can win this thing.

 

Last week with temperatures in the 20’s, my daughter’s soccer practice was moved to an indoor carpeted basketball court (I didn’t know these existed). One of the mothers stated she had played a sanctioned high school game on the carpet back in the day. Who knew? However, before the practice started I found a basketball and started shooting around and practicing my crossover. Both were abysmal as I haven’t played in a decade. My daughter says, “I didn’t know you were so good at basketball.” I didn’t have the heart to tell her it was truly my worst sport. Her teammates were amazed that the ball could reach the net from three point land.

That’s awesome that you had the opportunity to shine. The best part is that while his friends gave him crap, they were secretly jealous that his dad could play.
