Yeah, as I posted after the Vanderbilt game, he needed time to get his sea legs after realizing he isn't in Kansas anymore. The shot(s) he made in that game seems to have gotten him in rhythm. And I hate revisionist history, but if Martin would have not been a scratch, just as Clayton was against Vandy, perhaps his time on the court would have been limited or non-existent.

He seems to get his game on the defensive side while being a crafty ball handler and opportunistic shooter on offense. Every player is going to have their "brain fart" moments going forward, but it appears to me he has proven himself enough to allow his to happen without being benched for extended periods of time.

I see some DAMN FINE games in this team heading down the stretch.

 

I would be surprised if Auburn wasn’t still number one. Have one fewer loss than Alabama overall and is 2 games ahead of everyone else in the SEC.

 

I didn't see Micah on the bench yesterday. If he wasn't there anyone know why?

The same way I sounded everytime Kelly hit one for them. Kept asking myself, does this guy ever miss? Then I realized they were thinking the same thing about Walter.

So I'm at my son's game yesterday trying to keep tabs on the Gators. Can someone put me in charge of scheduling please!?

 

This is one of those games where you don't want to the game thread to end. Fun stuff!

 

Defining game IMO.

To be honest, while I have been absolutely ecstatic about the season, UF did have some road woes coming in that made me wonder if the team was truly elite or just really good.

This game demonstrated just how good this team is. That win was against a 21 - 1 team, unbeaten in the SEC and ranked #1, in what is this season, arguably the toughest venue in College Basketball, this year.

The SEC is rugged but Gator Nation has a reasonable expectation for UF to be a very high seed, perhaps a #1 even, going into March.

That's my definition of elite!

It feels like multiple players made a jump in the last week: Haugh, Condon, Denzel, and Urban.

Especially if Haugh and Condon become more of an offensive force, and Urban demands attention as spot-up shooter.

 

Kudos to our staff and players....youve made Gator nation proud!

 

Keen observations as usual, France. I've felt for a while now that, although we were getting good minutes from Condo, Haugh, and Chins all season, they needed to up it just a bit to take us to a new level. Haugh and Condo have really stepped it up the last two games, and I'll give the whole team a pass on the debacle at UT. If they keep this up, we might be THE team to beat in March. Urby off the bench is extra awesome sauce for those times we need to loosen up the defense a little.

Haugh is shooting with much more confidence from deep. You can just see it in his rhythm and stroke.
