Condon was terrific when we got him the ball. And Alexis finished very well. FSU just doesn’t allow easy post entries, and they double and contest very well in the paint.

We won a game, on the road, against a rival. I couldn’t see the game, but listened on wruf. Not bad for the 4th game of the season, while we’re still figuring things out.

I’ll take it. We’re a team that falls in love with shooting the three…. That’s just who we’ve been & who we are I guess. I think we’ll be improved on defense, but I just don’t think we’re gonna excel at defense.

Still a good win this early in the season.

 

I was referring to our bigs. Hopefully the potential that you are alluding to emerges against better competition.

 

Agree - the shit selection left something to be desired.

 

Much as seemed like a struggle, you look up and see that we scored 87 points. Against a defense-oriented team.

 

We can forgive you this once, but you must pray for forgiveness, say three hail Marys and swear allegiance to the Gator basketball gods henceforth.

 

Shot clicks and shit selections were key in this game. Coose!

 

With 19 turnovers and cold three point shooting in the second half. We shot very efficiently and got the looks we wanted most of the night.

 

Poor game and still a dub. Two more tune up games before shot (see what I did there, @gatordavisl ?) gets real

Shit selections, shot clicks and 4 point leafs! Great gane Gata!

 

We dominated them on the glass and led all night on their court. Even when they got it close, we pulled away in pretty impressive fashion. Every team has to work on this early in the season, but I don’t get the muted praise. Before the game, Golden said they were elite in two phases: effective fg defense and turnover rate. We won one out of those two. That’s pretty darn good when you are facing an opponent strength—especially on the road.

 

Gotta salute the team for this win, they left it all on the court.

 

The good: rebounding throughout, 1st half 3s, & hustle

The bad: turnovers, poor endgame offensive possessions that allowed Nolies to cut lead to 4, and fouling in the under 4 min possessions allowing a comeback.

Bottom line - nice win on the road vs rival who plays a very physical game

 

Really like Sam. Condon and him can both score inside. Like to see Sam get 25 mins a game.

 

I def want more of Sam. And Urban

 

I honestly thought we would score in the 70s. Plenty of bad play (mostly ball handling), but they got tested and every successful team gets tested.
