Matt Walsh: Dishonest Media’s Obsession With Stoking Racial Division On Full Display

Par for the course. I started to really notice this back in 2012.

I hope that lady successfully sues the media just like that one kid did.

 

His complaint is that they should have covered a potentially racially charged murder instead? Lol ok, Walsh is one of the most vile people on the planet.

 

The guy is saying the media should have covered another racially charged situation and is also complaining about "stoking racial division" if you take this guy seriously your brain isnt functioning right

I don't know a lot about Walsh, but from what I have read he certainly is trying to stoke racial tension, too.

That said, yes, there is a double standard in national coverage depending on the race of the perpetrator and the race of the victim. White-on-black gets far more coverage than black-on-white.

 

Good lead story this morning about a guy plowing a Uhaul into the White House with nothing in it but a Nazi flag lol. Convenient right after Biden claims white supremacists are the biggest threat.

He's one of those people that makes his living peddling outrage porn. Clearly it works

 

Matt Walsh refers to himself as a "Theocratic Fascist" in his Twitter bio. He believes that multiculturalism is a failed experiment and has not gone well for America - I'm sure American Indians find that funny. He often jumps in to question reporting or change the subject when it comes to White Nationalism. He's one of the last people who should be lecturing the media (of which he is a part) about stoking division.

I'm pretty sure he once posted about how more people should say the N word too (though it was more of a bizarre anti-PC rant defending a guy who had used it)

 

I don't watch any cable news so I I'm asking....was there really "wall to wall coverage" over the past week on the bike story? Or was it just covered in the NY Post?

 

Well, one thing he points out I think is true.

It's not just that the left and right media always differ on the actual reporting. There are so many stories out there that they get to cherry pick which stories they want to cover and in how much depth, if any. They often suggest an initial narrative and skim over subsequent clarifying information. That's not exclusive to either side, particularly when videos go viral and everybody wants to have a hot take. Everybody needs to slow their roll a little bit.

Maybe Walsh doesn't think media standards should apply to him because he's just an opinion guy. But these guys make millions and probably have more influence than journalists at the NYT and cable news. I've never heard a balanced or nuanced view from Walsh about anything.

 

The best part of asking questions like this is that there is no metric or measure that will satisfy anyone. I'm not sure why anything mentioned in that article is news worthy TBH.
