Yes Lacuna, if the cleanliness (or lack thereof) on this forum is any indication, you care deeply about ugly insinuations. If ugly insinuations were removed from Too Hot, 70% of this place would be gone.
Okay this has been bothering me about calling transsexuals “groomers.” They’re reading children’s books to children is all. What are they “grooming” children to do? How to break into the three bear’s house and eat their porridge, or how to kill a witch in her gingerbread house?
The post you brought to attention on this thread was reported by another person who objected to your ugly insinuations on that other thread. This is what you posted - "Some of you guys are doing a pretty crappy job of hiding the fact that you're groomers." Expressing the opinion "Honestly, some of you guys are just pigs." is vastly different from insinuating "some guys" are engaged in illegal behavior.
Is it or is it not insulting lacuna? You are moving the goalposts. First the problem you had was that it was an insulting comment, which is also the case of swampbabe's post. Then, you said it's about "ugly insinuations." To which I responded that if we uniformly applied that standard, 70% of this place would be gone. Now you're saying that I'm insinuating some people are engaged in illegal behavior, which really depends on how you define the word "groomer." I don't know, it looks a lot like you don't actually care about the rules, you just seem to have a personal problem with me. Same with river.
@swampbabe posted her impressions of "some guys" who post on the forum and her post was within the guidelines of the forum. She did not insinuate anyone was engaged in illegal behavior. We've all, or most of us, have made posts of that sort. I know I have. There are however, lines that should not be crossed. You went too far.
I don't have a 'problem' with you. Some of what you post is problematic, however. You frequently push the envelope of what is acceptable and permissible.
So do many other posters, I don't see you talking to them. In fact, you're defending one right now for doing something that not only pushes the envelope as to what is acceptable and permissible, but violates board rules.
I told you. I said this last week and then Lacuna made an entire thread on the topic. I think river and lacuna have blind spots towards who they choose to admonish. It is what it is.
The board rules say that you can't insult a specific member. You did that when you insinuated that another poster was a "groomer." Then you want to pretend that your follow up post should be viewed in a complete vacuum. That is nonsense.
Indeed it is. And as you were informed I don't read every post on this aggravating forum. Therefore I don't comment on or edit every objectionable or insulting post that is made on Too Hot. I don't see them. And you, for all your ignorant blustering about what mods with "blind spots" are doing or not doing, are clueless to the discussions and actions of moderators. Your objections are entirely based on your own biased perceptions, ignoring your own blind spot.
The same thing I’m saying about you except I was much more succinct about it. Thanks for calling me ignorant. If you cared to understand where the frustration is coming from, you could have clarified by asking better questions. In the public, your moderating is one-sided. It’s true no matter how much you don’t want to hear it.
