Unattractive women who “look like a thumb” shouldn’t complain about losing abortion rights because they’re the “least” likely to get pregnant, Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.) said in a jaw-dropping speech to college students at a conservative conference in Florida on Saturday.

“Have you watched these pro-abortion, pro-murder rallies?” Gaetz asked the crowd at the Turning Point USA Student Action Summit in Tampa. “The people are just disgusting. Why is it that the women with the least likelihood of getting pregnant are the ones most worried about having abortions?”

Video of the speech has received at least one million views on Twitter.

“Nobody wants to impregnate you if you look like a thumb. These people are odious from the inside out,” the congressman continued. “They’re like 5′2″, 350 pounds, and they’re like, ‘Give me my abortions or I’ll get up and march and protest.’”

Totally not representative, despite literally being a Representative.

I feel like there’s a theme, but I’m assured the problem is actually me.

A misogynist crazy rant isn’t probably the best speech to give to high school students.

“Turning Point USA’s 8th annual Student Action Summit….Thousands of student activists between the ages of 15 and 26 will be invited to attend.”

From the 1st Congressional District of Florida, I offer my apologies. It’s embarrassing.

AOC: wants to make actual healthcare available for all people but can’t explain how that works with capitalism.

Gaetz: feeds E to minors and pays them to shhhhh….

    Mirror images!

They are both smarter than the other side will admit IMO. One difference though is that his dad is rich and was the President of the Florida Senate. She was a bartender who took out an establishment incumbent.

Gaetz was astute to jump on the Trump wagon early in this area, but he is largely a troll at this point.

They look like any number of women from all walks of life.

Glad you aren’t condoning it, since it’s immaterial and in fact indicative of a cruel standard that only select people are subjected to.

First, only super insecure people make fun of others’ looks. No surprise Conservatives make fun of Hillary’s looks like it’s a right of passage. They are insecure professional victims so of course this comment from Matt makes them laugh and cheer.

Second, his imagery was selected to make his people feel like they are better than the others. No one wants to be last. He gives them a target that they can imagine are worse than them. They’re getting played, scammed, and they don’t know it. Worst Ted Talk ever.

Maybe he plans on being a stand-up comedian when his political career is over. But if so, based on what I've seen of contemporary stand-up "comedy" on cable (before I change the channel), he won't make it as a stand-up comedian unless he fills his routine with the f-word and variations thereof. The f-word adds so much creative humor. He apparently didn't use the f-word a single time in his "thumbs"-down on women routine. Just incompetent. He needs to stick with what he is, a slimeball politician. And BTW he has a lot of nerve making fun of someone's looks. He actually looks like a slimeball.

This had me think for awhile is it a double standard. Maybe but what I make fun of Donald Trump’s appearance I typically joke about things he does that seem wrong. Like his spray tan that is an off color and how they miss his eyes. And his hair which is just wrong. I never have made fun of Giuliani’s appearance until his hair dye started running down his face.
