Matt Gaetz suggests a great replacement is occurring in the GOP and that did not go over well with the base. He forgot the tenet of the GOP is brown is bad. It’s no race to the bottom they are digging holes at the bottom. Far-Right Turns on Matt Gaetz For Encouraging Racial Diversity in MAGA Movement: ‘Extremely Embarrassing’ Hardline Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) raised the ire of some of his fellow far-right travelers this week after suggesting that “Julio” and “Jamal” were ready to replace “Karens” as the base of the Republican Party. Gaetz boasting that MAGA could become “more diverse” and court both Hispanic and Black voters sparked a fierce backlash from the far-right. The Daily Wire’s self-declared theocratic fascist, Matt Walsh, told his 2.6 million followers on X, “This is totally indistinguishable from far left DEI racial politics. Extremely embarrassing for Matt Gaetz.” Walsh added, “What a brilliant political strategy. Let’s explicitly insult and alienate the majority of our voting base for the sake of a demographic that is guaranteed to vote for the other party in huge majorities literally no matter what we say or do. That’s some more GOP political genius!”
It pains me to say it but Gaetz is right. And Matt Walsh thinks trying to court minority voters is DEI? Just goes to show that these clowns yammering on about DEI don't even know what they're mad about. Would Matt Walsh rather lose the election than have minorities vote Republican? Just so much wtf there that it's hard to unpack.
I think he's right too. He sees the writing on the wall with the shifting U.S. demographics and he's young enough that if the Pubs don't expand their racial base, they will be irrelevant w/in his lifetime.
Precisely. I think many of them would rather cast aside democracy in favor of a dictatorship rather than embrace the diversity required to win an election 10-15 years from now. Pathetic.
It actually just shows that for many of them, the over the top anti-DEI and anti-woke stuff is just coded racism.
I used to say that too and that was the gist of the 2012 republican post election autopsy. But what actually happened is that whites are increasingly voting more Republican and behaving more like a minority. It’s very likely that will continue to be the case as whites actually do become a minority. In spite of all the racist and xenophobic elements, Latinos and blacks are voting in greater numbers for republicans. Some of that is cultural issues, some of it is an aversion to socialism by some, some of it is entrepreneurial mindset, some of it is admiration of Trump style machismo. What I’ve concluded is inevitably the parties adapt to an equibrium 50/50, but they don’t always do it in ways we would expect.
I think Gaetz’ comment largely reflects an anti feminist mindset. There’s a reason he used two male names there.
Matt Walsh is a legitimate moron, no idea why anyone would ever listen to a word he says. Dude went on Rogan a while back to rant against transgender people, an area he alleges to be an “expert” in, even made a documentary about it (lol) and confidently stated “millions” were on hormone blockers in the country when in actuality it was just a few thousand. Lol. He’s an absolute clown and a POS human being to boot.
Not sure either but he has 2-3M followers on multiple platforms and is getting booked on Rogan and Fox.
And another GOP hero with deep thoughts: Right-wing Rep. Paul Gosar complains there aren't enough white recruits in U.S. military “The number of white recruits has plummeted,” Gosar wrote. “[It’s] a casualty of this cultural skirmish that has left our Army beleaguered and besieged by ‘woke’ ideologies.” “This is not merely a crisis of numbers,” Gosar added. “It is a crisis of spirit.” “Reject the anti-white American Empire,” white nationalist publication VDARE declared in response to the report. Encourage your sons to stay far, far away from service to a nation that hates you… And guess what: It’s happening.” “Young white men don’t want to fight for a regime that despises them,” far-right conspiracy theorist Paul Joseph Watson wrote on Telegram. “Who could have possibly anticipated this?”
Why not white reparations ? Why not refunding the billions appropriated to BLM ? Sure, spread across 150 million or more whites that’s pocket money to me. But our HOA just went up AGAIN so it help.
If I’m reading correctly, less than 50% who recognize them actually trust them. So this “most trusted” ranking seems to be more of a name recognition thing. It seems crazy, but I’m guessing extreme correlation with those who would say they “trust” the orange god. Alt universe alternative facts stuff. Basically just the same trash that’s been going on a decade now.
IMO, Rogan has given too much air time to conspiracy theorists and he’s frustrated me many times, but I still generally like him. He has pushed back on guests on both sides. He is a good interviewer, has some nuanced views, knows about different things, is intellectually curious and entertaining. I have learned things from his shows. I don’t feel any of that about Tucker.
A conspiracy theory or two, from the media, would have been a refreshing change of pace from the regurgitated pabulum of 2020.
I’m serious about white reparations. Specifically white male reparations. We just don’t get roles like this anymore …
