Sounds like a “Florida man” headline.

Hasn’t Florida suffered enough? Hurricanes, chiggers, and now a statewide infestation of Gaetz?

The guy has to "pray" about it first per the Orlando Sentinel. Do pedo's really pray?

Oh boy, you grooved a 3-0 fastball there. As a Catholic, not touching that one but I'm sure others may swing away.

You say this, but if Trump bombs his second shot at the presidency, AND OF COURSE IT’S A BIG “IF,” that’s going to open the door wide open to a charismatic far-lefty to take the place of the polar-opposite side of the political spectrum. Newsom and AOC are two that fit that bill. Newsome is a realistic, plausible candidate particularly IF Trump’s second reign stinks.

I somehow think you're both right. GN could easily have a decent shot at POTUS.

But FL voters are indeed so deplorable that no matter what, Matt Gaetz will always be an attractive candidate to them for...anything. Hell, MAGA was excited about him becoming the US Attorney General.

So his plan is to get tough with insurers and drive them out of the state? Is anyone stupid enough to fall for that plan?

Florida loves to elect moronic and reprehensible Republicans to the governor’s mansions and actively vote against their best interests so I’m sure he’ll be a lock.

Gaetz will do at least as good a job as Ron DeSantis imo.

I think Matt has confused "pray" and "prey."

Do you think that some Democrats will say that they just ran the equivalent of a Newsom or AOC with Harris, ie a long time, deep blue state politician that has staked out far left positions and will have to moderate during the general election. And they would be better off running a Democratic politician from a purple or red state candidate like Shapiro, Kelly, or Evers?

This makes as much sense as me saying “we should ask g8orbill.”
