Apparently there was a road rage incident in Dallas where yet another child was shot and killed. I was trying to find an article on it. Searched “Dallas Road Rage”, and a crazy amount of stories popped up about children getting shot in road rage incidents. But I can’t even find the one about yesterday. Apparently so many kids now get shot around Dallas, that it’s barely even newsworthy.
Takes two seconds to find out that is some form of the city of Dallas tattoo. There are altered versions of it that's been used for business logos like the body shop that pops up in the comments. Doesn't mean it's not a gang tat version but that doesn't confirm it is either.
I thought he and most pubs will admit that access to guns is also a problem. Seems the left won’t admit something else is also to blame.
Perception is an interesting thing. I see most members here on both sides agreeing it's a multifaceted issue. Then you have a a handful that are unflinching in their stances that it's anything but the gun. You have less than that wanting to ban guns. The problem is when it comes to any significant reform the minority voices are the ones controlling the discussion (by design) and nothing happens.
Just give it time, there will be another such event soon. We can just change the location and date and copy/paste all the rest.
I like most of this, except the insurance part. It would get way too expensive for the average hunter to afford
There is something different about American culture. The Europeans have noticed it and have written about it. Consumerism. Perhaps we don’t value things like we once did. Maybe we never did and it’s easy for us to disregard things in our lives. The culture here is different and I can’t claim to be able to pinpoint it. Gun access is clearly a problem. A lack of a social connectedness is also what happens to those born without a loving, supportive family. Sadly they should probably have never been born.
The fact that these freaking mentally deficient psycho's feel the overwhelming need to kill innocent people and then suicide themselves, is a new phenomenon means less than zero to the gun grabbers...our society's broken.
Yet another one that got his hands on an AR-15. Shouldn’t it be… like… slightly difficult for a psycho to do this? Yes, there are many other factors potentially at play in all these mass shootings. From the video, this guy probably could have slammed his vehicle into a few of them (though we can presume he was hoping to kill dozens, not just “a few”). But the bottom line is these guys almost universally seem to be going with this style rifle now. And why not? The laws allow it. Almost no hoops to jump through.
Can’t see the post in question (so I assume posted by some nutjob I have blocked), but this definitely doesn’t fit the mold of gang activity. If the guy is hispanic, it’s pretty predictable the right wing media will spin it away from the gun and focus on culture wars and immigration/racism (exponentially moreso if the guy isn’t a legal immigrant, but even that probably doesn’t matter… anything except questioning the gun and how it was obtained).
I think that’s it. yes, we should do more to eliminate mental illness, depression, etc. But in the meantime, can we do more keep guns - particularly those capable of doing the most damage - out of of the hands of those who have those issues?
