I don’t actually wish bad on the guy. I don’t want his feet to get cut off or anything like that but I wish him no success.

 

That’s pure bs. We all like a lot of successful athletes , musicians etc. he’s just an asshat.

 

Man , Warri k done has done of selfless things in his life more important than football. He’s a stinking nole but he’s hard not to like.

 

Plenty of those successful athletes and musicians are asshats. You just give them passes because you’re partial to them. It’s okay, we all have our own biases.

 

Alright, alright I’ll cut you some slack on that one. I’m also a fan of Derrick Brooks as well so I do try to judge the character of a man even if they made one horrible life choice.

 

Ok since nobody is paying attention and would call me out on it I’ll admit to liking Deion when he was a two way for Falcons and Braves. Also liked Warren Sapp. Now let me explain. This was when we sucked something awful and I was in high school so you had to also root for who else might beat the Noles. Wide right baby. LA politics.

I think coaches that want to turn around their program quickly must now use the portal aggressively. FSU and Colorado quick success supports this approach. Many of the top programs have used this approach ti recruit portal QBs. The old school HS recruiting focus is a long term approach. Can an alumni base support a losing record for 3 years using HS recruiting approach? Can you hold onto the HS kids or will they depart in portal for money in the future? From a chicken and egg perspective, kids need to see on field success and winning for HS kids to have interest as well. Having alumni throw out big checks does not hurt either. KJ allegedly getting $70,000 car and bi-weekly checks deposited into bank every two weeks before committing to FSU can’t hurt.

 

Not sure I would call the FSU turn aound "fast". And it should be noted almost half our starters are portal players

 

That would be 1/3 of the starters. I only know of 7 who start.
