Teenagers do this to you man. :D

Yep. They shocked #4 seed USC in the first round and almost beat Indiana to make the S16.

They lost at the buzzer to the defending champs Maryland the next season in the first round.

    Again. I blame teenagers

Was there in person for the Maryland win here in the Atl. My buddy was an assistant on Maryland’s staff. that team was good.

I honestly think if we play our game, rebound better and hit our free throws while controlling the pace - it’s our game to lose. We can only beat ourselves.

I dont think he's as big, but he's got some smooth footwork. To be that size he really moves well. I could be off, but h3 reminds me a little of the kid at usce this year Murray Boyles.

I'm sure they know that he is gigantic douche...but that's common knowledge. Everyone knows that.

Maybe I am missing something here up thread, but in what sense does KenPom rank them 4th? I see them currently as 10th overall, and 9th remaining in the field.

The poster was saying there were 8 SEC teams better than MD. I was just saying KP said otherwise.

Not all that impressive a win; we should be playing CS.

Guess I don't know what traveling is these days, maybe they're using NBA rules. Cold-blooded execution by the big guy nonetheless.

Getting to work on time isn't really an issue. It is just like writing a check for the car payment. You can do it easily, but it may not mean anything...

If Condon ends up being a 67.3% on the year, this year, we'll be in good shape! :D

That would be great! That would mean he went 42 for 42 from the line for the rest of the tournament.

Those numbers of mine you quoted represent '23/'24 -> '24/'25 FT%s. He's currently 59.2 on the season.

Granted I've been so busy I haven't watched a lot of b'ball this year, but when I have watched, I haven't seen a travel or a 3 sec called yet this year....even in clear instances of when a guy leaves his pivot foot prior to dribbling.

Now this is funny! I have not seen either called in years, maybe longer. Of course, they all carry the ball now so that rule is defunct. It’s analogous to the phantom force out at 2nd base, which I never understood. Hanging out under the basket is a decided advantage for a team with a very big man; hey, don’t we have a real tall player on our bench?! Hmmmm….

When they stopped allowing the runner to spike and/or intentionally take out the fielder, they also got rid of the “in the vicinity” rulings. They have to touch the bag while they have possession of the ball now, so at least you don’t have to worry about that one anymore.
