Manchin kills tax agreement (and now unkills it - Inflation reduction act)

    The dem party didn't need to cave to her though. They had leverage to primary her out if she didn't give it up but they rolled over and I suspect her skids weren't the only ones greased on the dem side of the aisle.

    Way past time to eliminate private money and make all elections publicly funded. If you ahve an FCC license, you should be required to provide x amount of air time for debates and commercials for those that qualify. take the f'ing money out of elections so that politicians aren't selling tax code favors to highest bidders or go to a flat tax and get rid of the ability for politicians to sell tax code favors. Sad to say that buying politicians is the best investment out there if you can afford it

    The IRS was rightly starved after the Obama IRS Scandal.

    Joe Manchin's career is over. 70 house dems are opposed to honoring Manchin's agreement with Schumer to loosen permitting regulations. What a fool. Hope he has something lined up because West Virginia won't elect him 2024 to be a dog catcher.
