Managing Gen Z is like working with people from a ‘different country’

I employ a pretty broad range of people for a spectrum of roles. Anything from Z to boomers.
I actually find the entitlement comes from Gen Z's parents.

Kids work pretty hard as they are often a bit intimidated and uneasy with a new chapter in life.

The disgruntlement on my staff comes from GenXers like myself and creeping into millennials now too. The entry level college kids seem to really do what we expect.

I'm in the non profit sector and younger folks really like the concept whereas older folks were raised by generations placing the emphasis on income. This generation wants IMPACT of work to matter too.

 

I still haven’t found anyone that can program my VCR. Gen Z included.

do we have a name for the current kids?

 

The lost generation, they fell through the cracks, factor in the impact of covid, isolation, social media etc. I'm sure they look at people older than them and just scratch their heads.
