Yes they were lazy, but I think Grantham overvalued what he and Mullen called position flexibility. Basically, with all these tempo offenses not allowing you to substitute, it was good to have guys that could run and are athletic. Unfortunately, a defense full of these tweeners who don’t know what their roles are on any given play is a recipe for disaster.
Jarrad Davis was a 3 star LB too. All he did was turn into the best MLB in college football during his time at UF.
He could be. He's à lot bigger and more physical than the guys I mentioned. I don't know if he has the quick burst like Reese was. I swear the guy was short and not particularly fast but he had made a ton of plays stopping 3rd or 4th down and inches during his time with UF.
Mannnn, I even bolded the word before posting and still nuttin..... that's it we officially need a sarcasm font or something lol.
I realize this is speculation, but if staff saw the speed, agility, reaction even at a higher weight, might they might endeavor to trim him down to 240ish? We all know bama had big LBs but it had to be that they could carry the weight and move.
The allure of sarcasm is knowing some people won't catch it. The measure of a sarcastic person is how much they care whether you catch it or not.
