In a post deleted by the person who made the post, it was speculated "these things usually come in a jurisdiction led by a partisan judge or official," with the insinuation Colorado's Democrat Sec of State Jena Griswold has a "reputation for pushing this type thing."

When criminal charges were first filed against Peters they were filed under the authority of Mesa County Republican District Attorney, Dan Rubenstein. The charges snowballed as more and more evidence against Peters and her pet employees was uncovered. County Clerk Peters was subsequently barred by court order from supervising elections in Mesa County.

In a vote of Republicans attending a state assembly Peters received more than 60% of the votes from attendees encouraging her to run in the primary for the office of Sec of State. Realizing her reputation and the charges against her would prevent her from being re-elected to the Mesa County clerk position responsible for supervising elections, Peters instead entered the Republican primary as the presumed front runner for the Republican nomination to run against Griswold for Secretary of State in the general election. This coming as her presumed opponent, Democrat Jena Griswold, joined Mesa County investigating the clerk for an alleged breach of election equipment and other related offenses.

In the primary field of three Republicans Peters placed last and was vocal in her objections. She declined to concede and argued without evidence that the outcome of her race had been manipulated. Pam Anderson, the Republican who won the primary was defeated by Griswold in the general election. Anderson is a longtime election official who has been a vocal opponent of misinformation about the 2020 contest. The candidate who came in second in the primary Mike O’Donnell, is a former nonprofit executive who has also promoted numerous falsehoods about the 2020 presidential contest.

After the primary Griswold commented on Peters, “Tina Peters through her words and actions is a clear threat to Colorado’s elections and to democracy itself, she is unfit to serve as Colorado Secretary of State.”

There has been no sighting or mention of Mike Lindell, who acknowledged he gave Peters more than $800,000 for her legal defense fund a couple of years ago. Guessing that money has dried up.

She placed last in a field of 3 and still claimed she won. She should go to work for Maduro in Venezuela.

That is what Trump has done to that once proud party. Turned them all into whiners and poor losers.

Used to be a time when if a republican lost, they shook the opponents hand and tried to learn from their mistakes. Now they deny and double down on their worst traits.

    Just weird.
