LSU QB Walker Howard enters the portal

Thinking on this it is near Taggert levels of qb recruiting at fsu when he had zero high school qbs.

 

If Mark Long's reporting is accurate, our million-dollar baby is going to have some bridges to mend if he does end up in the O&B. Frankly, in all likelihood that ship has sailed anyway, and this conversation is basically moot. But if a minor miracle does occur and things do "work out," I have to wonder how the apparent absence of a full, unadulterated, team first commitment on the part of a zillion-dollar holdout will go down with the guys who didn't put everybody through hell for a few days in a bid to shake down the boosters for a few extra mil. I also have to wonder if BN is even up for dealing with that at this point. I suppose we'll find out one way or another soon enough. JMHO.

Supposedly we are going hard after Walker and the longer it stretches out the better it looks for us. He wants to start from day 1 and that is very possible and likely here. If he comes, an NFL quality OL will come with him who will start from day 1. This was messaged to me by an old friend who I’ve never know to exaggerate anything.

So take all this for what it’s worth. I’m not claiming anything to be true.

But at this point with JR, I believe that ship has sailed and we shouldn’t even try to repair things. The trust is broken and neither party would ever believe the other again.

How far we have fallen that this is even a debate. Should be a no brainer. I know we’re not the gators of old but come on now. TCU? Over the SEC and immediate playing time? I tip my hat to tcu and what they’re doing, but you don’t pass up the opportunity to play at a school like Florida. We are starving for a leader/quarterback here. Match made in heaven, if you ask me. I’ll take my o n b glasses off now. Lol

 

He has family in the area plus his former teammate Jack Bech already transferred there so they (tcu) have a couple of things going for them. But it’s obvious Florida is the better choice so I can see us winning out despite what I mentioned.

 

Does Stetson Bennett qualify as a transfer if he came back to his original school?

 

He won’t start day one if he misses the spring!

Bennett loved UGA. Wanted to be there. Are there any kids that dreamed of being Gators that will do anything to play here? Or just business decisions and money grabs now? Highest bidder? If so, we will be number 2 and oil money schools with lots of billionaires will run college football moving forward.

 

I think Billy went all in on Walker starting Wednesday through Friday or somewhere in there. Only downside for Walker is not here untiL August so more than likely Mertz or Miller start the season. Have to pick up someone because our quarterback room is thinner than thin.

 

Why not until august? I read he is looking to decide in th next 7-9 days and it has been reported transfers can get in up until Jan 26th. Not sure if any of that info is true though.
