The NCAA is a paper tiger with no real power anymore. Coaches aren’t playing on a level playing field especially now with the endorsement deals allowed for athletes. Being concerned about a coach cheating to get recruits is no longer a consideration because look at how many have gotten caught red handed and got little or no punishment. The NCAA turns a blind eye to it because they know they no longer have the power to do anything about it. As long as the NCAA takes in the money, they are satisfied with sticking their head in the sand and carrying on as if everything is fine. Not that I agree with cheating but it has become more of the norm than the rare occurrence in today’s college athletics.
— Would be a tough loss for us. But it’s a sacrifice I’m willing to make. Who wants to meet up with me and help the Whites pack?
Had a chance to get him but u guys wanted squeaky clean . Make up ur mind . So all the things Pearl did is now legal. Lol
FWIW. Never been at AU HC(major sports) in my lifetime(50 years) leave AU w/out being fired or retired.. Wouldnt bet on this as first.
Let me tell you guys... I grew up in Louisville as a UK fan. Lots more UK fans in Louisville than UofL fans, but I digress. If you look at college basketball as viewing markets, Louisville, KY is always #1. But don't take my word for it: Louisville is top-rated market for ESPN college basketball for 15th straight year No matter what, the UofL job will always be valued and important, but always second to whatever is going on at UK. I would say that 90% of Kentuckians are UK fans. Most UofL fans are fans from the inner city in addition to the suburb alums from the Louisville area, which keep growing every year. Despite this, the UofL job is definitely a top 10 job, IMO. Having said this, Bruce Pearl would be a moron to leave Auburn. To say I don't like Pearl is an understatement.
