Pete Rose was a legend, albeit a crooked one, I'll give you that, but who was the other one?

Mutombo was the 7th best shot blocker (blocks per game) of all time, so that's pretty darn good. But he drops to 53rd in rebounds per game, not legendary stuff.

Every interview, I ever heard this guy give was "I'm a victim, woe is me, I'm being discriminated against, etc."

In addition many persons on radio suggested he was a sour puss if one didn't pay proper homage.

He certainly was a great player and that Reds team was incredible, but IMO, as stated earlier, he only had to look into the mirror to find who was responsible for his not being in the HOF.

Yet the facts are sealed for some reason and Rose wanted that.

And you have to ask yourself” why would baseball and Rose want the facts sealed.”

That’s irrelevant. You have to pay the piper.

Amos was a dad to be feared. Good dude for sure but the look in his eyes should scare a kid straight.

Nobody wants their dirty laundry aired out in public. He obviously bet on baseball.

Everyone knows that part. The details are bad enough to hide them

We'll have to agree to disagree on the definition of "legendary". He was very good, maybe even close to great, but when speaking of legends, he won't be in the same context as MJ, Sir Charles, Shaq, Bird, etc.... He'll most likely get into the HOF, but not everyone there is legendary.

Nobody wants their dirty laundry aired out in public. In big public deals like this, if a settlement is reached before everything becomes public record, nda’s and sealed documents are pretty standard procedure.

Agreed but don’t cry about the terms if you agree to hide the facts.

Shoeless Joe first, then a hundred years later Pete could go in. If you’re gonna let em in.
