My son is getting into basketball and we are looking at watching the game against Vanderbilt on February 4th. Seeing if seats in Section 226 are good. Or is it worth it to pay to sit down one section in 127? They are both center court, but it has been so long since I went to a game that I do not remember. Thanks!

The higher levels like 226 aren't as bad since the remodel but 127 is much more preferred if you can sit in the lower parts. Its been awhile since I sat up high but I didn't feel like I was part of the action so I don't care for 226 myself. If your son is still a youngster, and his first time, he probably is fine anywhere. Check and see if they have a fans zone before the game. They used to have face painting and meet the Dazzlers.

Depending on the son's age, this could be the highlight!

Thanks for the info. He is 12, but I think I will just go with section 226. Tried to look to see if there was a fans zone that day, but not sure where that would be listed.

I don't think the fan zones are announced until the SEC season. Check back a week or two before the game.

    Great post.

I have really good seats and sometimes have had two extras. Almost as good as my baseball seats and @wingtee knows where they are. I always looked for a parent with a kid and gave them away. My way of paying it forward from a Brewers fan that gave me, my BIL and my nephew seats first row behind the Brewers dugout in their old park. Second best seats I ever had at an MLB game. The best where first row on the aisle behind home plate at the old Comiskey. Close enough to hear the talk between the batter, home blue and catcher. My younger brother knew the old lady that had the seats forever.

I just got tickets for the Tennessee game in the rowdy reptile section for $35. It’s been 35 years since I’ve been in that section. That will be one of the top basketball games of the year. Can’t wait.
