Except for the Georgia Southern game where we got beat by a division 2 team who didn't complete a pass in that game.

So much to fix, especially on D. CBN getting 3 new coaches on D (Batemen not his choice), along with a big upgrade on S&C is a great start. We need to fix leverage, angles, tackling on D.. assuming AA wasn't the problem, if the new coaches can point the players in a good direction then that would be a very good outcome.
On O, CBN already brought in Billy G, (one of Mullen's guys), showing me he isn't married only to his cronies. On O an OC would be the icing on the cake, however if he doesn't get an OC, any major upgrade to the D will automatically improve our outcome substantially. If year 2 was a stumble, and year 3 turns out to be what year 2 should have been, I would say 7 wins with our schedule will be indication that we are on our way. Recruiting should improve with a good outcome.

But you know we were decimated by injuries. I know there should be know excuses but believe it or not Geo Southern had some outstanding players and a great plan . We aren’t the first victim of the FBS schools.

I remember the game very well.. We could have tried 8 guys on the line of scrimmage, maybe that would have worked..(said in jest). IMO, I think at that point Chump had given up.

Agree on the most part. I think Billy has a great idea of what he
wants his offense to look like. Oline is critical, hope we addressed that or will address that.
I want Billy to succeed like nobody else. But he cannot continue to mismanage critical situations and end of the game situations. He must be present in all the timeouts, and making decisions. We must be in the DCs ear about bringing a rush to the Mizzou QB to get him off his platform on a 4-17 situation. He can’t be dialing up a double reverse pass after a safety vs FSU with 5 minutes left in the half when we were moving the ball fairly effectively and could have eaten more clock and prevented them from scoring a late half TD
The debacle vs Arkansas must be avoided.. no one was taking charge there. Billy was no where to be found
Florida could have been 8-4 playing in a decent bowl with a great recruiting class coming in and we wouldn’t be having these conversations.
Sorry to be long here! I want Billy as our coach but you are right … cannot repeat this bs

Maybe but I’d prefer not calling him Chump because he is a great football coach and makes more money than you and I in a couple of lifetimes. You and I are bigger Chumps than he.

in my 50 years of working, i never got fired from a job... in retrospect, i was never aware you could make more money getting fired than working. I guess he isn't a chump after all..

    Not chump. Not champ.

Surprised he was never ejected for spitting. I guess rage spittle in a ref's eye is ok. Although it does create adversity ON THE FIELD!

Agreed on the part about revisiting the renos and directing half that money towards NIL until the landscape is changed. Its what it is right now, and we need major cash to get to the top 10 in the nation, where winning and legit contender helps get guys plus cash. Ten more years of this wild west crap and the stadium renos will be pointless anyways.

Harvard being an overnight world beater in football would be something else.

It's not that far fetched, if the deal with H.S. players is really all about the "Money", the Harvard Endowment
is the largest of any educational institution in the United States. Considering "Havad" has the wealthiest donors on earth,
outside of Saudi Arabia, it's not a strech to think they could buy plenty of top talent.

I have taught many student-athletes that have gone to Ivy league schools and none of them were worthy of getting in based on academics alone. The vast majority have been UCF/FSU level in terms of academics but they excelled on the athletic field and that was your ticket. I'm not saying you're wrong in your general premise, but it's a complex thing.

We might win the first six games. Kentucky seems to have flipped the curse, so ... The Gators will have to clearly play their best football with the last five opponents. And, the Gators seem to have issues on the road!
