For those who don't know about LibGator . . . he has been posting these great condensed videos for years. I thought I'd share so we can all watch for the next 2-weeks. LOL! He used to overlay Mick Hubert's calls but that got way too time consuming so now we're thankful he takes time to post these condensed videos. Bad news: You'll have to suffer through Snitchcomb again. PS -- Please remember to give him some thumbs up on YouTube.
In the first video I notice that when we ran a stunt and delayed LB blitz we got to Rattler for a sack... 1:38 mark in the 2nd quarter. That was the best way to line up 3 on the line and send 3 more in a delay blitz... That worked well. But simply rushing 3 alone did not work well.
In the second half they held us an insane amount of times and the refs called just one holding penalty... Ridiculous. Every time Pyburn came into the game they held him.
I wish we could play every down on defense like we did with 3 minutes to go in the game. That should be Austin Armstrong's mission against UGA and the rest...
The second video never gives you time to see who made the plays on the ball... he cuts out before you hear the players name called. Another good reason to know the player's numbers. Something I need to work on.
On the last touchdown to Pearsall, Mertz did a masterful job with the pump fake to the opposite side to draw the safety over just enough so that when Pearsall made the inside move the safety help was too late getting over, and the rest is history. That is a veteran QB move right there.
