On another note - wow this UConn team is stout in the second half of games. They are crushing the Zags.

Congrats to Florida Atlantic Univ. and head coach Dusty May.

May was a long time assistant coach under former UF-Coach Mike White at both Louisiana Tech and Florida. May (an IU graduate) also has a strong Indiana connection as he was a student-coach under Bob Knight and later Mike Davis.

Dusty May - Men's Basketball Coach - Florida Atlantic University Athletics

Incidentally, one of May's three sons, Jack May, plays on the current Florida basketball team - Jack May Stats, News, Bio | ESPN

Jack May must be pretty proud of papa getting his team to the Final Four!

Nowell lost the game for KSU.
Turned it into a one man game for the last ten minutes. As
Good as he is at distribution he could have gotten a ton of easy shots for his teammates and Made it a game, but he went one on one almost every possession.

How is this team better than our last 4 gator teams is the question?

    Recruiting or coaching?

And to think that Ryan Nembhard was a Gator commit at one point. When he was in his first year at Montverde, I didn’t think that he was a future power conference player, but Kevin Boyle is unbelievable at developing talent.

It is the ADs job to make the tough call and hire who he thinks is the best. Who cares what the fans think? If the coach wins the fans will come along. If Golden (or Napier) does not have big success by 2025 then SS is gone.

I think you are severely overrating a coach’s ability to develop a player. Making them play a certain style is not really developing them. Development is largely a player driven activity.

I would say that a coach definitely can hold a player back, though. That, I would agree with.

Honestly the east bracket was always there for the taking. Tenn showed they can lose to anybody on a any given night, and rarely play up to their level in the ncaa tourney - 0 final fours.
FAU hasn't had many winning seasons, crazy they go from 19-15 to 35-3 the next season and they are only a 1.5 point dog right now.

100% in for the Owls in the Final Four! What a great job by coach May. What an incredible run. All a team can do is beat whom is in front of you and the Owls have done that.

fwiw - Anybody but uconn,............ PLEASE!
