I would call us ‘streaky’ when it comes to 3 point shooting. We can be really off or really on. Martin and Richard were very ‘off’.
I'm hoping lesson learned about developing Klavzar, I kept asking myself, if Clayton was down for a few weeks, we have no other backup ready for 3 starting spots with Aberdeen taking a starting spot. Now before others try to trample over this, I'm speaking of a backup with important SEC minutes, not cleanup time with 3 minutes to play. Sure we have a solid 8 but Aberdeen is not going to take us deep in the tourney if the other 4 aren't firing on all cylinders. Neither would Clayton by himself but with Clayton going down, it shows how fragile the subbing patterns are for this team. I'm all for Handlogten sitting out the season if that's what he needs, but if he were to play its one more piece to get us there. It's one more chance to give Haugh a look at the 3 if Richard remains contained by the defense. The freshman Brown needs more time to develop. It really is too far in the year to expect many changes for improvement. But Micah could still have an impact if he chooses to step up.
